Description
To solve the above problems, the transport refrigeration unit of the present disclosure comprises: a cooling means provided on the front side of the cold storage compartment of a transport refrigerated vehicle for supplying cold air into the cold storage compartment; and a flow straightening plate provided between the ceiling of the cold storage compartment and the flow straightening plate such that a flow path is formed between the cooling means and the ceiling of the cold storage compartment for the cold air supplied from the cooling means to flow to the rear side of the cold storage compartment, and which has a plurality of openings that pass through the ceiling and bottom sides of the cold storage compartment, wherein the plurality of openings are formed such that the opening area per predetermined region is larger on the rear side of the cold storage compartment than on the front side, and a converging flow path is connected to the rear side of the cold storage compartment on the flow straightening plate for supplying the cold air from the bottom side of the cold storage compartment to the flow path, and the converging flow path has a constricted section in which the flow path cross-sectional area gradually decreases as it moves from the bottom side of the cold storage compartment toward the flow path .
