Description
This invention relates to a handrail comprising a support post and an overhanging section provided on its outdoor side, wherein the overhanging section has a middle rail. In recent years, the designs of handrails installed on balconies and other structures of buildings have become increasingly diverse. For example, as shown in Patent Document 1, some handrails have a horizontally extending middle section in the vertical direction, with different designs on the upper and lower parts of this middle section. Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 9-13614 This is a longitudinal cross-sectional view of the handrail according to the first embodiment. This is a front view of the handrail according to the first embodiment. This is an enlarged cross-sectional view of the middle rail of the handrail in the first embodiment. This is an enlarged cross-sectional view of the upper rail of the handrail in the first embodiment. This is an enlarged cross-sectional view of the lower rail of the handrail in the first embodiment. This is an enlarged cross-sectional view of the vertical frame of the handrail according to the first embodiment. This is an enlarged cross-sectional view of the end vertical member of the handrail according to the first embodiment. This is a longitudinal cross-sectional view of the handrail according to the second embodiment. This is an enlarged cross-sectional view of the middle rail of the handrail in the second embodiment. This is an enlarged cross-sectional view of the auxiliary vertical frame of the handrail in the second embodiment. This is an enlarged cross-sectional view of the end cover of the handrail according to the second embodiment. This is a longitudinal cross-sectional view of the handrail according to the third embodiment. This is an enlarged cross-sectional view of the middle rail of the handrail in the third embodiment. This is an enlarged cross-sectional view of the middle rail of the handrail in the fourth embodiment. The specific details of the handrail of this invention will be described below. While this handrail can be installed and used in various locations, this description will show an embodiment installed on a balcony of an apartment building for the purpose of preventing falls. In the following, the depth direction of the handrail is defined as the front-to-back direction. However, the outdoor side is the front, and the indoor side is the rear. Also, the width direction (horizontal direction) of the handrail is defined as the left-to-right direction. The first embodiment will be described based on Figures 1 to 7. As shown in Figures 1 and 2, this handrail is erected on the building structure B and comprises multiple support posts 200 arranged at intervals from left to right, and an overhang 100 provided on the front side of the support posts 200. The overhang 100 separates the outdoor side from the indoor side. The support posts 200 support the overhang 100. The support column 200 is made of a hollow profile with a roughly rectangular cross-section. The support column 200 is made of aluminum. A core material 201 extending vertically is inserted inside the support column 200. A threaded rod 206 protruding downwards is attached to the lower end of the core material 201. The threaded rod 206 is inserted into a pre-drilled hole in the structure B and secured with resin. The support column 200 is then screwed to the core material 201. As shown in Figure 6, a fin 202 protruding forward is formed on the front surface of the support column 200. Details of the fin 202 will be described later. However, the support columns 200 located at both the left and right ends do not have fins 202. The extension section 100 comprises an upper rail 2 and a lower rail 3, a single intermediate rail 1 provided between the upper rail 2 and the lower rail 3, panel bodies 4 positioned above and below the intermediate rail 1 and aligned horizontally, a vertical frame 6 provided between the horizontally aligned panel bodies 4 at the midpoint of the extension section 100 in the horizontal direction, and end vertical members 7 provided at the horizontal ends of the extension section 100. The upper rail 2, lower rail 3, and intermediate rail 1 extend horizontally. The vertical frame 6 and end vertical members 7 extend vertically. The vertical frame 6 and end vertical members 7 are divided vertically and are provided between the upper rail 2 and the intermediate rail 1, and between the intermediate rail 1 and the lower rail 3. The intermediate rail 1, upper rail 2, lower rail 3, vertical frame 6, and end vertical members 7 are all made of extruded aluminum profiles. The panel body 4 is made of glass plate material 41. The upper plate material 41 fits between the upper rail 2 and the middle rail 1. The lower plate material 41 fits between the middle rail 1 and the lower rail 3. The intermediate rail 1 extends to the left and right, and will be described based on its cross-sectional shape when viewed from the left
