Description
This disclosure relates to a display terminal management system, and more specifically, to a display terminal management system that manages the rewriting of display images on multiple display terminals. Conventionally, management systems for power management and rewriting of multiple wireless display terminals equipped with solar cells and batteries are known. For example, such a management system is known that includes a solar cell for changing the content displayed on the display unit and a battery for charging power, and transmits a command to change the content to one of the multiple wireless display terminals based on first information related to the power available to each display terminal (see, for example, Patent Document 1). Furthermore, electronic paper is known as an image display terminal that can be rewritten multiple times and consumes little power (see, for example, Patent Document 2). Generally, electronic paper displays images based on image data acquired from an external server. While electronic paper consumes almost zero power when displaying images, it does consume power when changing the displayed image content, such as acquiring image data from an external server and rewriting the displayed image. Japanese Patent Publication No. 2012-242977Japanese Patent Publication No. 2009-229832 This block diagram shows the schematic configuration of the electronic paper management system in this disclosure.Figure 1 is a block diagram showing the schematic configuration of an electronic paper and an electronic paper management device.Figure 1 is a flowchart showing an example of the processing performed by the electronic paper management device.Figure 1 is an explanatory diagram showing an example of how to calculate the expected battery level after the minimum display period for an e-paper display.Figure 1 is a flowchart showing an example of the process for determining the priority of the electronic paper.Figure 1 is an explanatory diagram showing an example of the installation of electronic paper and electronic paper management devices in a store.Figure 1 is an explanatory diagram showing an example of the implementation of an electronic paper management system. This is an explanatory diagram showing an example of setting the attention level of an electronic paper according to Embodiment 2 of this disclosure. This is an explanatory diagram showing another example of setting the attention level of the electronic paper according to Embodiment 2 of this disclosure. Furthermore, preferred embodiments of this disclosure will be described. In this disclosure of the display terminal management system, the "display terminal" may be any terminal or device that displays images, such as electronic paper, smartphones, tablet devices, electronic whiteboards, information displays, or personal computers. The "Display Terminal Management Device" connects the display terminals and an external server via a wireless or wired network. It retrieves image data for rewriting the display image from the external server and transmits it to the display terminal as needed to perform the rewriting. The "battery that supplies power to each part of the display terminal" may be charged by the solar cell installed in the display terminal. In the display terminal management system provided for this disclosure, if there are multiple display terminals whose display images need to be changed, the device control unit may, based on a predetermined priority order, cause the communication unit to transmit the image data for rewriting the display images to the multiple display terminals. In this way, when there are multiple display terminals that need to change their display image, the system sends image data for rewriting the display image to multiple display terminals based on a predetermined priority. This enables a display terminal management system that can more appropriately select the display terminals that need to have their display image changed, depending on the situation, and rewrite the display image accordingly. In the display terminal management system described in this disclosure, the device control unit may determine the priority based on at least one indicator from among the remaining battery level, the power consumption required to rewrite the display image, the estimated remaining battery level after a predetermined display period of the display image, a predetermined level of attention given to the display terminal, and a predetermined importance level based on customer requests. In this way, a display terminal management system can be realized that prioritizes display terminals based on at least one of the following indicators: battery level, power consumption required to rewrite the display image, estimated battery level after a predetermined display period, predetermined attention level of the display terminal, and customer requests. This allows for the selection of the display terminals that should have their disp
