Description

This invention relates to an information processing device and an information processing method. Video sharing services (video distribution platforms) that allow an unspecified number of users to view videos posted on internet servers are known. Video sharing services sometimes include live streaming (live broadcast, real-time streaming) functions that allow broadcasters to receive real-time actions from viewers regarding posted videos. These actions from viewers include sending viewer comments (chat), sending electronic items, and ratings. Patent Document 1 discloses a technology that instantly jumps to a specific scene of content, associated with a comment selected from comments made by users viewing the content. The streamed video may be recorded by the streamer. When a streamer uses multiple videos captured by two or more imaging devices for live streaming, they may record the video from each imaging device, or they may record only the video used in the streamed video. Patent Document 2 discloses a recording method in which the user specifies the target recording time for the recording device, thereby automatically adjusting recording parameters such as resolution, image quality, and recording interval. Japanese Patent Publication No. 2013-150221Japanese Patent Publication No. 2001-086457 This is a block diagram illustrating the configuration of an information processing device. This is a diagram illustrating the system configuration. This diagram illustrates a screen used to switch between streamed video feeds. This is an example diagram showing a live streaming viewing screen. This diagram illustrates the control of video recording for each imaging device. This flowchart illustrates the initial setup process for an information processing device. This is a flowchart illustrating the recording control process. This diagram illustrates the control of image quality when recording images from each imaging device. <Implementation> Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. Figure 1 is a block diagram illustrating the configuration of the information processing device 117. The information processing device 117 is connected to the imaging unit 100. The information processing device 117 is also connected to the distribution platform 104 and storage 105 via the internet 102. Viewers 103 can view the distributed video distributed from the distribution platform 104 via the internet 102. The imaging unit 100 includes multiple imaging devices. In the example shown in Figure 1, the imaging unit 100 includes imaging devices 106, 107, and 108. Imaging devices 106 to 108 transmit the captured images to the distribution control unit 109 and recording control unit 101 of the information processing device 117. The information processing device 117 comprises a recording control unit 101, a distribution control unit 109, and a video switching unit 110. Note that the recording control unit 101, the distribution control unit 109, and the video switching unit 110 may be mounted on different tablet terminals or personal computers. Furthermore, the information processing device 117 may be integrated with any of the imaging devices 106 to 108. The distribution control unit 109 receives multiple images (also referred to as "images from multiple imaging devices") captured by the multiple imaging devices of the imaging unit 100. The distribution control unit 109 distributes the generated distribution video based on instructions from the video switching unit 110. Specifically, the distribution control unit 109 transmits the generated distribution video to the distribution platform 104 via the internet 102. The distribution platform 104 distributes the received distribution video to the viewer 103 via the internet 102. The video switching unit 110 switches which imaging device's video is streamed during live streaming, according to the streamer's instructions or predetermined rules. The video switching unit 110 may also switch the streamed video to a combined video from multiple imaging devices. The video switching unit 110 instructs the streaming control unit 109 to switch the streamed video. The video switching unit 110 stores the video streaming information, which is information about the video being streamed, in the video streaming information storage unit 111. The video streaming information indicates which imaging device's video is being used for the streamed video after switching. That is, the video streaming information includes information indicating whether or not each of the multiple imaging devices of the imaging unit 100 is being used for the streamed video. The distributed video information may include information about processing the video used in the distributed video from among the video from the multiple imaging devices of the imaging unit 100. Processing of the video includes, for example, adding text information, adding audio information, and deleting unnecessary parts of
