JP-2026075755-A - Inkjet recording device
Abstract
[Problem] To provide an inkjet recording device and an inkjet recording method that can reduce the number of recovery processes required to restore the nozzle's faulty condition, thereby preventing wasted ink consumption. [Solution] The inkjet recording device X1 includes a wipe unit 8. In the wiper 83 of the wipe unit 8, at least the contact portion that contacts the ink ejection surface 30A is provided with a water-repellent portion 831 at both ends in the left-right direction (width direction) perpendicular to the wiping direction D21, which has a higher water-repellent property than the main body portion 830 of the wiper 83. Description
This invention relates to an inkjet recording apparatus. An inkjet recording device that records images onto a sheet using an inkjet method includes a recording head with multiple nozzles formed on its discharge surface from which ink is ejected. The recording head ejects ink from each nozzle towards the sheet by applying voltage to piezoelectric elements provided corresponding to each nozzle. The inkjet recording device also includes a wiper for wiping the discharge surface of the recording head. The wiper moves in one direction from a wiping start position to a wiping end position while in contact with the discharge surface, wiping away the ink from the discharge surface (see Patent Document 1). Japanese Patent Publication No. 2023-053537 Figure 1 shows the configuration of an inkjet recording apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention.Figure 2 shows the configuration of an inkjet recording apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention.Figure 3 shows the configuration of the recording unit according to an embodiment of the present invention.Figure 4 is a plan view showing the configuration of a wipe unit according to an embodiment of the present invention.Figure 5 shows an example of the configuration of a wiper according to an embodiment of the present invention.Figure 6 shows a modified example of the wiper configuration according to an embodiment of the present invention.Figure 7 shows another modified example of the wiper configuration according to an embodiment of the present invention. The embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. Note that the embodiments described below are merely examples of the present invention and do not limit the technical scope of the invention. [Outline configuration of inkjet recording device X1] First, the configuration of the inkjet recording apparatus X1 (hereinafter abbreviated as "recording apparatus X1") according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to Figures 1 to 4. Here, Figure 1 shows the transport unit 5 of the recording apparatus X1 positioned at a recording position where printing by the recording unit 3 is possible, and Figure 2 shows the transport unit 5 positioned at a maintenance position at a predetermined distance below the recording position. Figure 3 is a plan view showing the configuration of the recording unit 3. Figure 4 is a plan view showing the wipe unit 8. Figure 3 shows the recording unit 3 as seen from above in Figure 1. The recording device X1 is a printer capable of recording images using an inkjet method. Furthermore, the present invention may also be applied to devices such as facsimile machines, copiers, and multifunction printers capable of performing print processing using an inkjet method. As shown in Figure 1, the recording device X1 comprises a paper feed cassette 1, a paper feeding unit 2, a recording unit 3, an ink container unit 4, a transport unit 5, a paper discharge unit 6, a lifting mechanism 7, a wipe unit 8, a cap unit 9, and a main frame 1A that houses or supports these components. The paper feed cassette 1 contains the sheets to be printed by the recording device X1. For example, the sheets contained in the paper feed cassette 1 may be paper, coated paper, postcards, envelopes, cloth, OHP sheets, or other sheet materials. The paper feeding unit 2 supplies sheets stored in the paper cassette 1 to the recording unit 3. As shown in Figure 1, the paper feeding unit 2 comprises a pickup roller 21, a transport roller 22, a transport path 23, a registration roller 24, a manual feed tray 25, and a paper feeding roller 26. The pickup roller 21 picks up sheets one by one from the paper cassette 1. The transport roller 22 transports the sheets picked up by the pickup roller 21 to the registration roller 24. The transport path 23 is the movement path for sheets from the paper cassette 1 and the manual feed tray 25 to the recording unit 3. The registration roller 24 transports the sheets to the recording unit 3 at a predetermined transport timing (image writing timing). The manual feed tray 25 and the paper feeding roller 26 are used to supply sheets from an external source. The recording unit 3 records images on sheets supplied from the paper feed unit 2. As shown in Figure 1, the recording unit 3 includes line heads 31, 32, 33, and 34 corresponding to black, cyan, magenta, and yellow, and a head frame 35 supporting them. The head frame 35 is supported by the main frame 1A of the recording device X1. The recording unit 3 may have one or more line heads. The line heads 31-34 are so-called line head type recording units (recording devices). That is, the recording device X1 is a so-called line head type inkjet recording device that records an image on a sheet by ejecting ink droplets onto the sheet being transported below the fixed line heads 31-34. The line heads 31-34 are elongated in the width direction D2 (see
