Abstract

[Problem] To provide a door stopper device that can be easily attached to a door frame, does not impair the design of the door, and prevents accidents such as fingers getting caught, and a hinged door device equipped with this door stopper device. [Solution] The door stop device is for a hinged door that can be opened and closed around a vertical axis and comprises a main body member having a back wall and side walls, with through holes provided at mutually opposing positions on each side wall; a pivot shaft whose ends are fitted into and supported by the through holes of the main body member; a rod-shaped pivot member that is rotatably supported by the pivot shaft; and a spacer member having a mounting surface for attachment to a door frame or wall surface and a mounting surface on the side opposite to the mounting surface to which the main body member is attached. The spacer member is formed such that, in a cross-sectional view perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, the mounting surface forms a predetermined inclination angle with respect to the mounting surface. The door stopper device is characterized in that the spacer member is formed such that, in a cross-sectional view perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, the mounting surface forms a predetermined inclination angle with respect to the mounting surface.
  2. The system further includes a holding means for holding the main body member. The door stopper device according to claim 1, characterized in that the retaining means is formed from a resin material in a substantially U-shape, has a pair of locking claws that engage with both side edges of the back wall of the main body member, is attached to the spacer member, and allows the main body member to be attached and detached.
  3. The system further includes a biasing member, one end of which is connected to the pivot shaft and the other end of which is connected to the middle of the pivot member to bias the pivot member in the direction of the pivot shaft. The rotating member has an elongated hole through which the pivot shaft is inserted at one end, is rotatably supported by the pivot shaft, and is configured to slide along the elongated hole in the direction of the one end and the opposite direction, and has at least one protrusion or recess on the end face of the rotating member that is supported by the pivot shaft. The door stopper device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the main body member is provided with at least one recess or protrusion on the back wall into which the protrusion or recess can be fitted, and at least one rotation restricting portion that engages with the protrusion or recess when the rotating member is in a position parallel to the back wall of the main body member and restricts the rotation of the rotating member.
  4. The door stopper device according to claim 1 or 2, further comprising a cushioning cover member that covers at least a portion of the surface of the other end of the rotating member.
  5. The door stopper device according to claim 4, characterized in that the cover member has a substantially cylindrical surface and is formed by providing a notch on the side surface of a hollow columnar body with an open end, and the notch is configured to overlap with the back wall when the rotating member is in a position parallel to the back wall of the main body member.
  6. A hinged door device comprising a door stopper device according to claim 1 or 2, and a hinged door having a door that can be opened and closed around a vertical axis, wherein the door stopper device is attached to the door frame or wall surface on the leading edge side of the hinged door.

Description

This invention relates to a door stopper device, which is attached to a door frame and prevents accidents such as fingers getting caught by limiting the closing stop position of a hinged door, i.e., the remaining gap after closing, and to a hinged door device equipped with this door stopper device. In hinged doors found in residences, public facilities, office buildings, commercial buildings, etc., accidents can occur where fingers or other body parts get caught between the edge of the door and the side frame when closing the door, which is a significant problem. Traditionally, to address this problem, a simple guard has been attached to the hinged door (gate), which protrudes when in use to prevent the door from moving before it is fully closed, and retracts when not in use, allowing the door to be closed. This type of door stopper is well-known. Furthermore, a door stopper (door finger-stopper) has been proposed for hinged doors, which, when not in use, stores an arm in a groove formed on the front surface of the hinged door, and when in use, allows the arm to be easily pulled out to a position where it can be grasped with the fingers, thereby preventing the hinged door from moving before the leading edge of the door contacts the side frame of the hinged door (Patent Document 1). The door stopper for hinged doors described in Patent Document 1 consists of a box-shaped base, an arm housed in the base and having at least one pair of opposing surfaces, and a rotating central shaft inserted into grooves formed on the pair of opposing surfaces of the arm. When installed on the edge of a hinged door, it can prevent accidents such as fingers getting caught between the door's edge and the frame.
