  1. A weighing unit for weighing the product, A storage unit that stores the weight of the product measured by the weighing unit and the product name of the product measured by the weighing unit as a weighing result, A display unit that displays a list of the measurement results stored in the storage unit, A selection unit that allows the user to select any calculation result from the measurement results displayed on the display unit, A product processing device comprising: a printing unit that retrieves the weight of the weighing result selected by the selection unit from the storage unit, and issues a subtotal label on which the sum of the obtained weights is printed as the subtotal weight.

Description

One aspect of this invention relates to a product processing device. Meat processing centers are known to cut and ship individual cuts of meat from carcasses. In such centers, the types of meat cuts (tenderloin, short rib, shoulder rib, ribeye, sirloin, etc.) transported by conveyors are identified and weighed. The identification and weighing of meat cuts can be performed, for example, using a meat sorting device as described in Patent Document 1 below. Furthermore, meat processing centers sometimes consolidate and ship cuts of specific types and quantities according to orders from their clients (destinations). Therefore, there is a need to create subtotal labels that show the subtotals of multiple cuts to be shipped and affix them to cases (shipping containers) containing these cuts. The following describes a label issuing device (product processing device) 1 according to one embodiment, with reference to the drawings. In the description of the drawings, identical elements are denoted by the same reference numerals, and redundant explanations are omitted. The label issuing device 1 of this embodiment is used, for example, in a meat processing center where cuts of meat (products) are cut from a beef carcass and the cut meat is stored or shipped. More specifically, a slaughtered cow is divided into left and right carcasses by splitting it down the back. Each of these divided carcasses is transported from the refrigerator to the meat processing room while suspended from suspension rails. In the meat processing room, a single carcass is divided into large sections such as the fore, loin, fore flank, and thigh, and then further divided and deboned to cut into multiple cuts of meat. The cut cuts of meat are, for example, vacuum-packed, inspected for the presence of metal using a metal detector, then, for example, shrink-wrapped and cooled using a cooling device such as a chiller. The cooled cuts of meat are sent to a weighing and printing line where each cut is identified. A printed label LC (see Figure 3) is then attached to each identified cut, indicating its name and weight. The cuts with the printed labels LC are then packed into cases (returnable containers) according to the customer's requirements and stored in frozen storage or shipped. Each case is then fitted with a subtotal label LS (see Figure 4), indicating the contents of each cut and the total contents. The label issuing device 1 weighs the portion of meat as described above and issues a printed label LC (see Figure 3) to be attached to the weighed portion of meat. Furthermore, in accordance with the packing process into cases, the label issuing device 1 of this embodiment issues subtotal labels (case labels) LS (see Figure 4) for each case.
