Claims (7)

  1. A decorative element comprising a vertically elongated insertion portion that is inserted into the annular portion of a safety pin, which forms a ring when closed and is located on the back of the button badge, and a decorative surface portion that extends beyond the outer diameter of the button badge, wherein the decorative element can be suspended by passing the insertion portion through the annular portion formed by the safety pin.
  2. The can badge according to claim 1, wherein the insertion portion is a vertically elongated plate that can be inserted into the annular portion formed by the safety pin.
  3. The can badge according to claim 1, wherein a chain, string, or other cord is detachably attached to the upper part of the insertion section as a suspension member, and another accessory is further attached to the cord.
  4. The decorative surface portion is a single piece made from the same material as the insertion portion, and is formed by cutting a transparent acrylic plate by laser processing or the like so that a part or substantially the entire decorative surface portion protrudes from the outer shape of the can badge, according to claim 1.
  5. The can badge according to claim 1, wherein the decorative surface portion is exposed on the lower half of the outer surface of the can badge in the shape of a circular arc with a central angle of 90°, a circular arc with a central angle of 180°, a circular ring with a central angle of 360°, or a polygon such as a square or hexagon that extends beyond the outer surface of the can badge, or in the shape of a star or cloud.
  6. The insertion portion, which serves as the hanging portion, is provided so as to protrude from the top of the button badge, or from above the decorative surface portion extending from the top, and a rope such as a chain can be attached to the top of this insertion portion for hanging purposes, according to claim 1.
  7. The can badge according to claim 1, wherein an optional accessory body, separate from the decorative body, is attached to the aforementioned cord.

Description

This invention relates to a button badge, and more particularly to a button badge equipped with a decorative element that can be detachably attached to the button badge to change its appearance. Generally known button badges are those attached to clothing, bags, hats, etc., with safety pins as decorations or accessories. Regarding conventionally known button badges, button badges with a hanging structure and button badges supported by a stand and used as ornaments are known from Patent Documents 1 to 4. The button badges proposed in Patent Documents 1 to 4 maintain the functionality of conventional button badges while enabling them to be used in a hanging or decorative form, thus contributing to the diversification of how button badges are used. While the proposed button badge incorporates the new functions described above, the configuration of applying detachable decorative elements to an existing button badge is not found in known button badges or in button badges with the proposed new functions. Next, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the figures. In Figures 1 and 2, 1 is a button badge, 2 is a safety pin provided on the back of the button badge 1, and 3 is a decorative element according to the present invention, which is placed on the back of the button badge 1. The safety pin 2 is attached by a safety pin attachment portion 2a formed from the backing material of the button badge 1. The button badge 1 used in this invention is the same as a known type that has a safety pin 2 on the back. However, this invention is constructed by attaching a decorative element 3 to the button badge 1 in a detachable manner. Therefore, the decorative element 3 will be described next. The decorative element 3 is, for example, made by cutting a 3mm thick transparent acrylic sheet into a desired shape using laser processing or the like. In the illustrated embodiment, the lower half of the decorative element 3 is formed as a decorative surface portion 3b that extends from the outer shape of the button badge 1 in an arc shape with a central angle of 90°, and an insertion portion 3a is formed at the top of the decorative element 3, extending upward in a tongue-like shape. In the figure, 3c is the middle portion of the decorative element 3 corresponding to the back surface of the button badge 1, with the insertion portion 3a formed at the top and the decorative surface portion 3b at the bottom. The width of the insertion portion 3a is formed to allow insertion into the horizontally elongated ring portion (horizontal ring) formed by the closed safety pin 2. In the figure, 11a is the design displayed on the front side of the button badge 1, and 11b is the display of text, etc., on the decorative surface portion 3b. In the figure, 31a is a connecting hole formed at the top of the insertion part 3a for connecting a rope 4 such as a chain or string. The illustrated rope 4 is shown as a ball chain, and a roughly T-shaped accent member 5 is connected to this chain (rope). 5a is a connecting hole provided at the bottom of the accent member 5 for connecting to the chain (rope). Here, the accent element 5 shown is made from a transparent acrylic plate of the same thickness as the decorative element 3. However, the accent element 5 may be in various three-dimensional or flat forms, such as a bell, ball, or knob. Some versions of this invention's button badge do not include the accent element 5 or the chain or other cord 4. In this case, a retaining part (not shown) is provided on the insertion part 3a of the decorative element 3 to prevent it from coming loose from the annular part of the safety pin 2. For example, a ring or pin (not shown) can be detachably attached to the connecting hole 31a. Furthermore, with this invention's button badge, the original button badge can be used as a standalone item by removing the insertion part 3a of the decorative element 3 from the safety pin 2. As described above, while conventional button badges are simply attached to hats, bags, or clothing with safety pins, this invention features a separate decorative element that is detachably attached to the button badge, allowing for greater versatility in how the button badge is displayed. Furthermore, since the button badge can be used alone by removing the decorative element, it also contributes to greater versatility in usage.
