Abstract

[Problem] To provide a teapot with a handle on the lid so that a person with limited use of one hand does not have to hold the lid down with the other hand when pouring hot water into the teapot. [Solution] A handle 3 is provided on the lid, and both the handle 2 on the teapot body and the handle on the lid are passed through a hollow body 1. Since the hollow body holds the handle on the lid, it does not fall off even when the lid is removed. [Selection Diagram] Figure 4

Description

This invention relates to the handle of an earthenware teapot. Traditionally, the lid of an earthenware teapot had to be removed before pouring hot water into the teapot itself. The following describes embodiments of the present invention. The handle 2 on the main body of the teapot and the handle 3 on the lid are attached by passing them through the hollow body 1. The hollow body may be made detachable by cutting out notches at both ends. The hollow body in Figure 6 is a detachable hollow body 7 with cutouts extending to both ends. The indentation in the lid 5 shown in Figure 4 is intended to improve the stability of the lid when it is removed and in contact with the teapot body 4. The hollow bodies in the figures of this invention are cylindrical tubes, but they may be other shapes as well. By varying the shape, position, and material, a wide variety of designs can be created. This is a perspective view of the present invention. This is a side view of the present invention. This is a front view of the present invention. This is a front view of the present invention with the lid removed. This is a plan view of the present invention. This is a side view of the earthenware teapot body, the handle of the teapot body, the lid, and the handle of the lid, all integrated into one unit. In each figure, parts other than the main components have been omitted.
