Description

This invention relates to a monitor holder, and more particularly to a monitor holder with excellent operability and its pivot joint. A monitor holder can be used to support a monitor (display) and change its viewing angle. Some monitor holders feature a three-axis adjustable arm design, allowing you to suspend the monitor above the desktop or move it freely in three dimensions, making them very convenient. The monitor holder and its adjustment mechanism described in Patent Document 1 are used for connecting to a liquid crystal display. The adjustment mechanism includes a U-shaped component, a support component, two friction components, two spacers, and one fastening component. The U-shaped component has two parallel, extending wing-shaped plates. The support component is housed between the two wing-shaped plates. The two friction components are positioned outside the two wing-shaped plates, respectively. The two spacers are sandwiched between the two wing-shaped plates and the two friction components, respectively. The fastening component penetrates the two friction components, the two spacers, the two wing-shaped plates, and the support component. The friction between the inner surfaces of the two wing-shaped plates and both ends of the support component, and the friction between the outer surfaces of the two wing-shaped plates and the two spacers, prevents the liquid crystal display from rotating downwards and exerts a positioning effect through frictional force. However, the aforementioned adjustment mechanism requires overcoming both gravity and friction when rotating the LCD display upwards, resulting in increased force and a poor user experience.
