JP-3255775-U - posture corrector
Abstract
[Problem] To provide a posture correction device that can correct the user's hunched back or rounded back to the correct posture when lying down, by ensuring that the posture correction pad is reliably fitted to the user's body shape, thereby maximizing the corrective effect of the posture correction pad. [Solution] A sheet-like intermediate material 1 is housed inside a cover body 2, and the intermediate material 1 and the cover body 2 are joined by linearly crushing them at predetermined intervals, forming a bulge 4 between these parallel joint portions 3. The position of this bulge 4 constitutes a posture correction pad 5 corresponding to the position of the vertebrae V of the user's thoracic and lumbar spine when the user is lying down, and elastically deformable cushion mats 6 with different hardness depending on the area are attached to and laminated on the lower surface of the posture correction pad 5. Claims (3)
- A sheet-like intermediate material is housed within a cover body, and the intermediate material and the cover body are joined by being linearly compressed at predetermined intervals, with bulges formed between these parallel joint portions, The position of this bulge corresponds to the position of the thoracic and lumbar vertebrae of the user when the user is lying on their side, thus forming a posture correction pad. On the lower surface of the posture correction pad, elastically deformable cushion mats with varying hardness depending on the area are in contact and laminated. A posture correction device characterized in that the bulge on the lower surface of the posture correction pad sinks into the upper surface of the cushion mat due to the user's own weight, thereby restricting the displacement of the posture correction pad, and allowing the user to lie down while the posture correction pad is adapted to the contours of the user's body shape.
- The posture correction device according to claim 1, characterized in that the cushion mat is divided into at least three parts: a head piece, a torso piece, and a leg piece.
- The posture correction device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the cushion mat is constructed by laminating mats with different hardness levels on the front and back sides.
Description
This invention relates to an improved posture correction device, and more specifically, to a posture correction device that can correct the user's hunched back or rounded back to a correct posture while lying down, by ensuring that the posture correction pad is precisely fitted to the user's body shape, thereby maximizing the corrective effect of the posture correction pad. One known method for correcting kyphosis and rounded backs is to lie on a mattress pad with pressure-distributing properties. As an improved version of this method, the inventor previously developed the posture correction pad described in Patent Document 1. This posture correction pad has bulges formed on its surface that correspond to the positions of the thoracic and lumbar vertebrae of the user when they are lying down. Therefore, when the user lies down, the bulges are compressed and compressed by their body weight, extending longitudinally, widening the space between the vertebrae, and stretching and loosening the muscles around the thoracic and lumbar vertebrae. However, when this pad is laid on a completely flat surface such as a floor or ground, the pad becomes flat and does not conform to the contours of the user's body. This could lead to uneven pressure distribution in certain areas, potentially resulting in an inconsistent stretching effect. Furthermore, while this pad is sometimes used by placing it on top of a futon or cushion, the contents of futons and cushions have a uniform firmness and lack variation in deformation. Compared to the floor or ground, the cushioning effect is only slight, and the pad tends to remain flat, resulting in insufficient conformity to the user's body shape. Furthermore, a user's comfortable posture and sense of fit will vary depending on their daily physical condition, and even considering the long term, body shape changes with age, potentially leading to a deterioration of posture. Therefore, to achieve a high corrective effect, the product must be able to adapt to these changes. Japanese Patent Publication No. 2021-74283 This is an overall perspective view showing the structure of a posture correction device according to an embodiment of the present invention. This is an explanatory cross-sectional view showing the structure of a posture correction device according to an embodiment of the present invention. This is an explanatory side view showing the state of use of the posture correction device according to an embodiment of the present invention. This is an overall perspective view showing a modified example of the cushion mat according to an embodiment of the present invention. This is an overall perspective view showing a modified example of the cushion mat according to an embodiment of the present invention. The embodiments of this invention will be described based on Figures 1 to 5. First, the configuration of the posture correction pad 5 of this embodiment will be explained. First, a sheet-like intermediate material 1 is housed inside the cover body 2. While the cover body 2 basically houses only the intermediate material 1, a rod or other material to enhance acupressure can be inserted as needed. The size of the pad is 190 cm in the longitudinal direction and 60-120 cm in the width direction, allowing an adult to lie on their side. In this embodiment, as the intermediate material 1, for example, a material in which fibers are intertwined to form granular fiber particles, and these multiple fiber particles are arranged three-dimensionally to form a sheet (a product of Arai Co., Ltd. shown in "Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 2016-94692") can be used. This allows for appropriate hardness and elasticity to be achieved. More specifically, multiple fiber grains are three-dimensionally intertwined with each other by protruding fibers from the cluster of fiber grains. The fiber grains are preferably approximately spherical in shape, and from the viewpoint of elasticity, their average particle size is preferably in the range of 3 to 10 mm. The fiber granules can be made from synthetic or natural fibers. As for synthetic fibers, polyolefin fibers such as polyester, acrylic fibers, polyamide fibers, and cellulose fibers can be used, but polyester fibers are preferred because they provide good elasticity. Furthermore, the fiber length of the fibers constituting the granules is preferably in the range of 5 to 50 mm, and the fiber thickness (fineness) is preferably in the range of 1 to 40 denier. Furthermore, the fabric of the cover body 2 that covers the surface of the pad can be made of double raschel knit, which provides excellent breathability and stretchability. Similar to the intermediate material 1, synthetic fibers or natural fibers can be used as the material constituting the fabric, but polyester fibers are used. Next, the intermediate material 1 and the cover body 2 are joined by linear compression at predetermined intervals, forming a bulge 4 between these parallel joint portions
