Claims (2)
- A self-aligning leaf basket to be installed inside a rain gutter, A self-aligning leaf basket comprising a leaf basket (1), an eccentric projection (2) and a connecting part (9) angled to the end of the leaf basket (1) opposite to the leaf basket alignment tip (6), and an alignment bar (10) attached to one end of the connecting part (9), which generates a self-aligning effect so that when inserted between the roof tip (7) and the rain gutter tip (8), the leaf basket (1) can be installed inside the rain gutter by the gravitational force of the leaf basket (1).
- The angle required for the self-aligning leaf basket to self-align is the sum of the angle θ in (1) and the angle α in (2) below: (1) the angle θ between the vertical reference line of the self-aligning leaf basket and the eccentric projection (2) (2) the angle α between the eccentric projection (2) and the connecting part (9) The sum of angle θ and angle α is in the range of 0° to 135°, as described in claim 1.
Description
This invention relates to a basket that can be attached to a rain gutter to clean fallen leaves that accumulate there. Traditionally, the main method for preventing leaves from falling into rain gutters was to install leaf covers, and various types of covers were devised and installed. The self-aligning leaf basket (1) has a net (11) to catch fallen leaves and can be installed inside the rain gutter (3). It has an eccentric projection (2) that is angled on the opposite side from the roof, similar to the shape of the rain gutter, and is characterized by the phenomenon that when the alignment bar (10) is lifted, the tip (6) on the roof (4) side lowers. It is safe and inexpensive to attach and detach, and can be used to clean up fallen leaves repeatedly. If a leaf basket (1) that is similar in shape to a rain gutter is attached to one end of the rain gutter and has an inclined eccentric projection (2), the leaf basket will tilt due to gravity. The basic principle is to position the rain gutter approximately in the center of the lower part of the roof's edge (7), and to install it below the extension of the roof's slope. The leaf basket tip (6) can be inserted into the gap between the roof edge (7) of the rain gutter and the lower part of its extension (8), and gravity will allow it to be installed in the same position on the rain gutter, which is possible as a self-alignment effect.
