Claims (2)

  1. A paper sheet conveying device that conveys multiple sheets of paper inside a conveying pipe to a storage compartment by the action of an airflow generated inside the conveying pipe, The outlet of the curved conveying pipe, which changes the path of the paper sheets from a vertical downward direction to a horizontal direction, is connected to the side of the storage unit's casing , so that the paper sheets, which are transported in two separate directions within the curved conveying pipe, temporarily stop in front of the storage unit. A paper sheet conveying device characterized by the following features.
  2. The paper sheet conveying device according to claim 1, characterized in that the conveying of the paper sheets is temporarily stopped at a predetermined distance before the storage compartment, so that the paper sheets, which are conveyed in separate front and back sections within the curved conveying pipe, temporarily stop before reaching the storage compartment .

Description

This invention relates to a paper material conveying device for transporting paper materials such as banknotes in amusement facilities and the like. In a gaming machine island, multiple sets of gaming machines, each consisting of a gaming ball dispenser that dispenses gaming balls (such as pachinko balls) to players upon receiving banknotes, are housed together. Inside the island, a transport system is installed along the length of the gaming machine island to carry the banknotes inserted into each gaming ball dispenser to a safe located at the end of the island. Additionally, transport systems have appeared that collect banknotes from the safes of the multiple gaming machine islands within the gaming hall and transport them to the main safe in the gaming hall's office. For example, a transport route that circulates within the gaming hall leaves the main safe in the office, extends upwards into the ceiling space, changes direction horizontally, and circulates along the ceiling space, directly above the location of the safes on each gaming machine island. Banknotes are sent from the safes of each gaming machine island towards the transport route that passes directly above them. After circling directly above each gaming machine island, the transport route is extended downwards to return to the main safe. While belt conveying has traditionally been the dominant conveying method used in such conveying devices, in recent years, methods utilizing airflow generated within the conveying pipe have been diversifying. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a conveying device in which a cylindrical conveying aid 101, placed inside a conveying pipe 100 as shown in Figure 28, is moved by the action of airflow generated within the conveying pipe, and the moving conveying aid 101 pushes and conveys the paper sheets inside the pipe from the rear. In a conveying system that utilizes a conveying aid, a recovery device is provided at the end of the conveying pipe to separate the conveying aid from the paper sheets conveyed by the conveying aid and recover the paper sheets. Figure 29 shows how the paper sheets are recovered by the recovery device 110. In this recovery device 110, the transport assisting body 101, which has been pushing the paper sheets from the rear, is received and recovered by a separation section 112 equipped with a slit (pass-through opening) (Figure b). Only the paper sheets are then allowed to pass through the slit and proceed to the downstream passage section 114, thereby separating the paper sheets from the transport assisting body. The passage section 114 is an area for temporarily stopping or slowing down (for example, 10 cm/sec) paper sheets that have been moving at high speed (for example, 2 m/sec) within the transport pipe for storage. Paper sheets that enter the passage section 114 are discharged to the outside from the end of the passage section 114 by a transport mechanism 116 using transport rollers and a transport belt (Figure c). The paper sheets discharged from the collection device 110 are sent to the main safe in the office for storage. The transport assist unit 101 is collected when the separation unit 112 rotates from the front to the side of the passage section 114 (Figure c).
