Description

This invention relates to earth-retaining panels, earth-retaining structures, and methods for constructing earth-retaining structures. Conventionally, as disclosed in, for example, Patent Document 1, earth retention structures are known that are constructed by assembling corrugated steel plates in vertical boreholes formed by excavating the ground. These earth retention structures are constructed by stacking structures formed by arranging multiple corrugated steel plates in a ring shape along the wall surface of the borehole in the direction of the borehole axis. As the depth of the excavation hole increases, the earth pressure from the surrounding ground increases, and corrugated steel plates alone may not provide sufficient rigidity. Furthermore, regardless of depth, the earth pressure may be high depending on soil conditions. Additionally, as the depth increases in the axial direction of the hole, the weight of the upper annular structure acts on the lower annular structure. Therefore, in earth retaining structures, at deeper depths, H-shaped steel reinforcement rings are inserted between adjacent corrugated steel plates to increase rigidity. Furthermore, in earth-retaining structures, there is a risk of the corrugated steel plates bending due to the earth pressure in the excavation hole. Therefore, vertical beams extending in the direction of the hole axis are placed at intervals along the circumferential direction of the excavation hole on the inner side of the corrugated steel plates, and opposing vertical beams are connected with bracing to increase the strength against earth pressure.
