Abstract

[Problem] To provide a bag that allows for easy and quick changes in storage depth and width, and that can stably maintain its folded position when the size is changed. [Solution] The bag 10 is constructed with a flat, bag-shaped storage section 15 in which the left and right ends and lower ends of the front sheet 11 and back sheet 12 facing each other are closed and the upper end is open, and a flap 18 that is connected to the upper end of the front sheet 11 or back sheet 12 and hangs down on the outer surface of the storage section 15. The lower side of the storage section 15 is provided to be foldable upward, and the folded portion and the flap 18 are engaged with each other via an engagement means to maintain the resized state. Claims (2)

  1. The storage compartment is a rectangular bag-like structure in plan view, with the left and right ends and bottom ends of the facing front and back sheets closed and the top open; it is equipped with handles attached to the upper ends of the front and back sheets, respectively, and flaps attached to the upper end of the front sheet that hang down to the outside of the storage compartment and have a width smaller than the width of the storage compartment . The aforementioned storage section has a lower part that can be folded upward so as to allow for variable storage depth, and the side portions located outside the left and right ends of the flap are provided as sides that can be folded inward so as to allow for variable storage width. In a bag in which the side portion is folded inward and the lower part of the storage portion is folded upward so as to overlap the folded side portion, the upper part of the storage portion and the lower part of the flap are arranged to overlap and engage with each other , The system includes a displacement prevention means to prevent the inwardly folded side portion from being pushed outward laterally, The bag is characterized in that the displacement prevention means includes a rectangular plate-shaped member, and the plate-shaped member is fixed only to the inner surface of the side of the front sheet .
  2. The folding position of the aforementioned storage section is set at multiple locations that gradually change the storage depth. The bag according to claim 1 , characterized in that the plate-like member is divided into upper and lower sections, and the lower end position of the lower plate-like member and the position between the ends of the divided plate-like members are designated as folding positions.

Description

This invention relates to a bag, and more specifically, to a bag whose storage depth and width can be varied according to the size or quantity of the items to be stored, and which can be folded compactly for easy carrying when not in use. A bag-shaped bag with an opening at the top is known as a tote bag. This bag is widely used for shopping as an eco-bag, and is also used as a fashion item, a promotional item, and even as a school or business bag. By manufacturing it using sheet materials suitable for these uses, it has the potential to be used in a wide range of applications. These types of bags typically have a handle at the top of the storage compartment, and the storage depth and width are determined by the planar dimensions of the outer and inner sheets that make up the storage compartment. Therefore, it is usually not possible to change the storage depth (storage height) or storage width according to the size of the items to be stored. Furthermore, Patent Document 1 discloses a bag that allows for adjustment of the storage depth and changes in its usage mode. This bag is constructed with a storage compartment, a handle attached to the top of the storage compartment, and a back cover part located on the upper rear side of the storage compartment with an opening at the bottom. The lower half of the storage compartment can be folded back and inserted into the gap formed between the cover part and the back of the storage compartment, thereby changing the storage volume according to the size of the items being stored. Patent No. 6046223 A schematic perspective view of the bag according to this embodiment, as seen from the front sheet side.A schematic perspective view of the aforementioned bag, seen from the back sheet side.Front view of the aforementioned bag.A schematic cross-sectional view along line A-A in Figure 3.Diagram showing the inner surface of the outer sheet that makes up the storage compartment.Exploded perspective view of the displacement prevention mechanism.A front view showing the first step in changing the storage depth of the bag.A front view showing the next stage, as shown in Figure 7.A front view showing the folded storage compartment and the flap engaged.A front view showing the storage depth further reduced.(A) is a diagram illustrating the disadvantages of a configuration without a means to prevent misalignment, (B) is a diagram illustrating the configuration of (A) in which the shape of the storage section is distorted so that the side protrudes outward, and (C) and (D) are diagrams illustrating the principle by which the position of the side is kept constant by the means to prevent misalignment.A front view of the bag showing a modified version where only the storage depth has been changed.Figure 12 shows a front view of the bag with an even shallower storage depth. Preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. In this specification, unless otherwise specified, terms indicating direction or position are based on the view of the bag shown in Figure 1, with the front of the page being the "front" and the back being the "back.""Width" is used to refer to the left-right direction, and "depth" or "height" to refer to the up-down direction. These criteria are defined for the sake of explanation and may change depending on the bag's orientation and the viewer's position. It should also be noted that "top" and "bottom" refer to the view from Figure 1 and do not specify a particular location. Furthermore, while the bag normally lies flat with the front and back sheets overlapping when not in use, the diagrams will show the sheets separated by space within the storage compartment as needed to facilitate understanding of the contents. As shown in Figures 1 to 4, the bag 10 in this embodiment comprises a flat, bag-shaped storage section 15 with a front sheet 11 and a back sheet 12 facing each other, an opening 13 where the left and right ends and lower ends of the front and back sheets 11 and 12 are closed and the top is open, handles 16 looped together at the upper ends of the front sheet 11 and back sheet 12, a flap 18 connected to the upper end of the front sheet 11 and hanging down on the outside of the storage section 15, i.e., on the outer surface of the front sheet 11, buttons 19 and 20 provided at multiple locations on the outer surface of the back sheet 12, buttonholes 21 provided in the flap 18, and positional displacement prevention means 23 provided on both the left and right sides of the inner surface of the front sheet 11. In this embodiment, the storage compartment 15 is formed using a sheet material such as canvas, and the front sheet 11 and the back sheet 12 are provided in a rectangular planar size (size) that is the same as each other. The storage compartment 15 can be formed into a bag shape by folding a single sheet material and sewing the outer edges together, or it can be formed into a bag shape by overlapping s
