Claims (3)
- A book display system that virtually displays books, A display means for virtually displaying page objects representing the pages that make up the book, and spine objects representing the spine that binds the pages together, An input means that accepts a specified virtual operation within the space where the page object and the spine object are displayed by the display means, An input analysis means that analyzes the position and content of the virtual operation received by the input means, The system includes a display control means that controls the display in the display means based on the position and content of the virtual operation analyzed by the input analysis means, The display means displays a plurality of operation objects on the spine object for setting the display of the book in the display means to a predetermined state that is different from each other . A book display system in which the display control means sets the display on the display means to the predetermined state corresponding to the operation object that overlaps with the position of the virtual operation analyzed by the input analysis means, when the position of the virtual operation analyzed by the input analysis means overlaps with the display position of the operation object, and the operation content of the virtual operation analyzed by the input analysis means is predetermined.
- In the book display system described in claim 1, A book display system comprising: a display control means which, when the position of a virtual operation analyzed by the input analysis means coincides with the display position of the page object, and the operation content of the virtual operation analyzed by the input analysis means is to move the page represented by the page object away from the spine object, detaches the page represented by the page object from the book; and then, when the operation content of the virtual operation analyzed by the input analysis means moves the page object closer to the spine object of another book displayed by the display means, incorporates the page represented by the page object into the other book.
- In the book display system according to claim 1 or claim 2, A book display system in which the display control means moves the position of the book displayed by the display means to a position corresponding to the operation content when the position of the virtual operation analyzed by the input analysis means overlaps with the display position of the spine object, and the operation content of the virtual operation analyzed by the input analysis means moves the spine object.
Description
This invention relates to a book display system that virtually displays books. In recent years, rapid advances in computer technology have led to the use of technologies that virtually display objects in real or virtual spaces, such as VR (Virtual Reality), AR (Augmented Reality), and MR (Mixed Reality) (see, for example, Patent Document 1). This technology allows users to experience events that are not possible in reality, and to manipulate objects they do not actually possess. Furthermore, technologies that allow books to be virtually displayed on a screen and viewed are also being considered (see, for example, Patent Document 2). Therefore, in the technologies described above that virtually display objects in real or virtual space, virtually displaying books in real or virtual space allows for three-dimensional viewing of books that are not actually possessed. Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. Figure 1 shows one embodiment of the book display system of the present invention, and Figure 2 is an external perspective view of the head-mounted display unit 10 shown in Figure 1. As shown in Figure 1, the book display system in this embodiment comprises a head-mounted display unit 10, a management server 20, and a database 30. The head-mounted display unit 10 comprises a display unit 11, an input unit 12, a control unit 24, and a communication interface 13. As shown in Figure 2, a display unit 11a is mounted as the display unit 11, and a camera 12a and a 3D sensor 12b are mounted as the input unit 12, on the front of the frame 14 for mounting the head-mounted display unit 10 on the user's head. A control device 24a, which houses the control unit 24 and a battery (not shown), is mounted on the rear of the frame 14. The display unit 11, in this invention, serves as the display means and virtually displays a book. That is, the display unit 11 functions as a display 11a, displaying a virtual book as a hologram on the lens. The input unit 12, in this invention, serves as the input means and receives specified virtual operations within the space where a virtual book is displayed as a hologram on the display 11a by detecting them using the camera 12a or 3D sensor 12b. Note that the input unit 12 is not limited to the camera 12a or 3D sensor 12b, as long as it can detect specified virtual operations within the space where a virtual book is displayed as a hologram on the display 11a. The control unit 24 consists of an application program that runs on the OS of the head-mounted display unit 10, and includes an input analysis unit 22 and a display control unit 23. The input analysis unit 22, which serves as the input analysis means in the present invention, analyzes the position and content of the virtual operation received by the input unit 12. The display control unit 23 constitutes the display control means in this invention. Based on book information and model data received via the network 40 through the communication interface 13, the display control unit 23 generates display data for displaying a virtual book on the display unit 11 of the head-mounted display unit 10. Furthermore, based on the position and content of the virtual operation analyzed by the input analysis unit 22, and the generated display data, it controls the display of the virtual book on the display unit 11 of the head-mounted display unit 10. The communication interface 1
