Description
This invention relates to a hair dye composition. Oxidative hair dyes are known as hair dyes. Oxidative hair dyes primarily produce their color through the oxidative polymerization of dye intermediates. Traditionally, p-phenylenediamine, p-toluylenediamine, or p-aminophenol have been commonly used as representative dye intermediates. In this context, hair dye-containing materials using 4,5-diaminopyrazole derivatives as dye intermediates are being used. For example, Patent Document 1 describes a hair dye-containing material containing 4,5-diaminopyrazole derivatives, m-aminophenol derivatives, and m-phenylenediamine derivatives. Patent Document 2 also describes a hair dye-containing material containing 4,5-diaminopyrazole derivatives and cellulosic compounds. Furthermore, Patent Document 3 describes a hair dye-containing material containing 4,5-diamino-1-hydroxyethylpyrazole, an anionic surfactant, and a specific nonionic surfactant. Special Publication No. 2000-502367Special Publication No. 2004-524288Japanese Patent Publication No. 2011-213628 This is a photograph of the oxidative hair dye composition containing the hair dye composition of Example 2, developed by thin-layer chromatography. The hair dye composition of the present invention will be described below. In this invention, "dye intermediate" refers to a dye precursor that develops color through oxidative polymerization by an oxidizing agent. Furthermore, in this specification, POE represents a polyoxyethylene chain, POP represents a polyoxypropylene chain, and the number in parentheses following these indicates the number of moles added. The number in parentheses following alkyl indicates the number of carbon atoms in the fatty acid chain. Each component contained in the hair dye composition of the present invention is described below. [Hair dye composition] <(A) Compounds represented by general formula (1) or their salts> The hair dye composition of the present invention contains a compound represented by the following general formula (1) or a salt thereof. The compound represented by the following general formula (1) or its salt acts as a dye intermediate. (Here, R independently represents a hydrogen atom, a methyl group, or an ethyl group, and n represents 1, 2, or 3.) When a compound represented by general formula (1) is used as a dye intermediate, the oxidized polymer derived from the compound represented by general formula (1) exhibits relatively uniform structure and degree of polymerization. Because it is a relatively uniform oxidized polymer, the color development by the oxidized polymer, its tendency to remain on the hair, and its washout from the hair during shampooing are also relatively uniform. Therefore, it offers excellent uniformity in coloring, and even when hair with varying degrees of damage is mixed together, it can be dyed uniformly to the desired intensity and shade. Furthermore, it is resistant to discoloration from daily hair care (such as washing). (A) The salt of the compound represented by general formula (1) is a reaction product with a Brønsted acid. Examples of Brønsted acids include inorganic acids such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, or phosphoric acid, and organic acids such as acetic acid, benzoic acid, or salicylic acid. Of the salts of the compound represented by general formula (1), sulfates are preferred due to their superior stability. As the compound of general formula (1) above (A), (A1) 1-hydroxyethyl-4,5-diaminopyrazole or a salt thereof, as shown in general formula (2) below, is preferred. As component (A), at least one of the following can be used: one or more compounds represented by general formula (1), and one or more salts of the compounds represented by general formula (1). To limit the products of oxidative polymerization, it is preferable to use a compound represented by general formula (1) alone or a salt thereof, and it is more preferable to use either a compound represented by general formula (1) alone or a salt of a compound represented by general formula (1) alone. The content of the compound of general formula (1) or its salt in the hair dye composition is not particularly limited, but from the viewpoint of dyeing power and formulation stability, it is preferably 0.03 to 5% by mass. More preferably, the lower limit is 0.1% by mass or more, and even more preferably 0.2% by mass or more. More preferably, the upper limit is 4% by mass or less, and even more preferably 3% by mass or less. A hair dye composition exhibiting high dyeing power and high formulation stability can be obtained by setting the content to 5% by mass or less, and sufficient dyeing power can be obtained by setting the content to 0.03% by mass or more. <(B) Coupler> Couplers have the effect of promoting the oxidative polymerization of dye intermediates or reacting with dye intermediates to produce color. (B) Couplers mainly include m-diamines, aminophenols, or diphenols. Specific examples of couplers inc
