Description

This invention relates to a hair styling composition filled in a container with an applicator. In particular, it relates to a hair styling composition that has high hold and shine, is non-sticky, and blends well with hair. One type of cosmetic composition that can create hairstyles is the gel-like hair styling product commonly known as hair gel. This gel-like composition, which combines water thickened with a water-soluble thickener and a water-soluble resin that forms a hard film, is widely used. Unlike pomades and hair sticks, which use oil-based ingredients for styling, hair gel is easy to spread in the palms, easy to wash out with shampoo, and provides a fresh, glossy finish. Therefore, it remains in strong demand even today. However, increasing the amount of water-soluble resin to provide stronger hold can lead to problems such as poor absorption into the hair and stickiness. Patent Document 1 discloses a gel-type hair styling composition that spreads and blends well into hair, providing high shine and smoothness. Patent Document 2 discloses a gel-type hair styling composition that is non-sticky and provides good styling properties. Incidentally, hair mascara is a hair coloring composition used to apply pigment to hard-to-reach areas such as the hairline. The mechanism of hair mascara consists of a container containing the hair coloring composition and an applicator with an applicator at one end of the applicator shaft and a container lid at the other end, allowing for direct application of the hair coloring composition to the hair (Patent Document 3). In recent years, the demand for hair styling products packaged in hair mascara containers has been increasing because it allows users to apply the product while styling with a brush without getting their hands dirty. Japanese Patent Publication No. 2001-335436Japanese Patent Publication No. 2009-67735Japanese Patent Publication No. 2005-319004 The present invention will be described in detail below. The present invention relates to a hair styling composition filled in a container with an applicator, characterized by containing (A) liquid polyethylene glycol at 25°C, (B) one or more selected from carboxyvinyl polymer, acrylic acid/alkyl methacrylate copolymer, (ammonium acroyldimethyltaurate/VP) copolymer, or (hydroxyethyl acrylate/sodium acryloyldimethyltaurate) copolymer, (C) hydroxypropyl cellulose, (D) polyvinylpyrrolidone, and (E) (acrylates/diacetone acrylamide) copolymer AMP, wherein the content of component (A) is 10 to 35% by mass, the content of component (B) is 0.1 to 1% by mass, the content of component (D) is 1 to 10% by mass, and the content of component (E) is 0.5 to 5% by mass. From the viewpoint of gloss, the present invention contains (A) polyethylene glycol that is liquid at 25°C. The content of component (A) used in this invention is 10 to 35% by mass, preferably 12.5 to 30% by mass, and more preferably 15 to 25% by mass. If the content of component (A) is less than 10% by mass, gloss decreases. If the content of component (A) exceeds 35% by mass, stickiness occurs. Examples of component (A) used in the present invention include polyethylene glycol with a number average molecular weight of 200, polyethylene glycol with a number average molecular weight of 400, and polyethylene glycol with a number average molecular weight of 600. One or more of component (A) may be included. Of the components (A) used in the present invention, polyethylene glycol with a number average molecular weight of 200 and polyethylene glycol with a number average molecular weight of 400 are preferred from the viewpoint of improving non-stickiness and good compatibility, and polyethylene glycol with a number average molecular weight of 200 is even more preferred from the viewpoint of further improving compatibility. From the viewpoint of setting power, the present invention contains one or more selected from (B) carboxyvinyl polymer, acrylic acid/alkyl methacrylate copolymer, (ammonium acroyldimethyltaurate/VP) copolymer, or (hydroxyethyl acrylate/sodium acryloyldimethyltaurate) copolymer. The content of component (B) used in this invention is 0.1 to 1% by mass, preferably 0.2 to 0.9% by mass, and more preferably 0.3 to 0.8% by mass. If the content of component (B) is less than 0.1% by mass, the setting power decreases. If the content of component (B) exceeds 1% by mass, the gloss decreases. Of the components (B) used in the present invention, carboxyvinyl polymer and acrylic acid/alkyl methacrylate copolymer are preferred from the viewpoint of improving setting strength, and carboxyvinyl polymer is even more preferred from the viewpoint of further improving non-stickiness. This invention contains (C) hydroxypropyl cellulose for ease of compatibility. The content of component (C) used in this invention is preferably 0.03 to 1% by mass, more preferably 0.06 to 0.7% by mass, and even more preferably 0.1 to 0.4% by mass. If the content of component (C) is less than
