Description
This invention relates to a door provided in a refrigerator, and to a refrigerator equipped with this door. Refrigerators are equipped with doors for opening and closing each storage compartment. In recent years, to improve the aesthetic appeal of refrigerators, doors with a glass front have been proposed. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a refrigerator door composed of a colored glass plate 6 having a transparent layer 6a on the front and a colored layer 6b on the back, an inner plate 2 positioned opposite the colored glass plate 6, a frame 7 inserted around the entire circumference of the colored glass plate 6, and a foamed insulation material 4 filled into the space created by the colored glass plate 6, inner plate 2, and frame 7. Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 5-133677 This is a plan view showing the configuration of the front of a refrigerator according to one embodiment of the present invention.Figure 1 is a perspective view showing the refrigerator with each door open.Figure 1 is a perspective view showing the external configuration of the vegetable compartment door of the refrigerator shown.Figure 1 is a perspective view showing the external configuration of the freezer compartment door of the refrigerator shown.Figure 3 is a side view showing the external configuration of the vegetable compartment door.Figure 3 is a cross-sectional view showing the internal structure of the vegetable compartment door.Figure 3 is an exploded perspective view showing the glass plate, side cap member, and lower cap member that make up the vegetable compartment door. This is a perspective view showing how the handle component is attached to the main body of the vegetable compartment door.Figure 3 is a side view showing the components of the vegetable compartment door in a disassembled state.Figure 3 is a perspective view showing the vegetable compartment door with the handle removed.Figure 3 is a perspective view showing the inside of the handle component that makes up the vegetable compartment door.Figure 4 is a side view showing the external configuration of the freezer compartment door.Figure 4 is a cross-sectional view showing the internal structure of the freezer compartment door. This is a perspective view showing how the handle component is attached to the main body of the freezer door. This is a side view showing the components of the freezer door shown in Figure 4 in a disassembled state.Figure 4 shows a perspective view with the handle removed from the freezer door.Figure 7 is a perspective view showing the inside of the handle component that makes up the freezer door. The embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. In the following description, identical parts are denoted by the same reference numerals. Their names and functions are also the same. Therefore, detailed descriptions of them will not be repeated. <First Embodiment> (Overall contents of the refrigerator) First, the overall configuration of the refrigerator 1 according to the first embodiment will be described. Figure 1 shows the exterior view of the refrigerator 1 from the front. Figure 2 shows the exterior view of the refrigerator 1 with each door open. The exterior of refrigerator 1 is primarily composed of an insulated box 90. This insulated box 90 forms the storage space of refrigerator 1. The storage space formed by the insulated box 90 is divided by multiple horizontally extending partitions into, for example, a refrigerator compartment 11, a vegetable compartment 12, an ice-making compartment 14 and a second freezer compartment 15, and a freezer compartment 13, starting from the top. The refrigerator compartment 11 is equipped with double-hinged refrigerator doors 11a and 11b, which are divided into left and right sections. The vegetable compartment 12 is equipped with a pull-out vegetable compartment door 12a. The freezer compartment 13 is equipped with a pull-out freezer door 13a. The ice maker compartment 14 is equipped with a pull-out ice maker door 14a. The second freezer compartment 15 is equipped with a pull-out freezer door 15a. As described above, the refrigerator 1 according to this embodiment is divided into multiple storage spaces, with a refrigerator compartment 11 and a vegetable compartment 12, etc. However, the arrangement of each storage space is not limited to this. Furthermore, the configuration of the doors provided in each storage space is not limited to the above. In this embodiment, the side with the door is referred to as the front or front of the refrigerator. Based on the front, and considering the position of the refrigerator 1 when it is normally installed, each side of the refrigerator 1 is defined as the top, side, back, and bottom. Furthermore, when the refrigerator 1 is placed on the installation surface, the left-right direction (horizontal direction perpendicular to the vertical direction) when viewed from the front of the refrigerator 1 is
