Description
The four connecting surfaces 13a to 13d of the outer cylindrical portion 10 each have a flat surface shape. Of these, the thickness of the connecting surface 13c on the inside of the vehicle body in the vehicle width direction is greater than the thickness of the other connecting surfaces 13d on the upper side of the vehicle body, 13b on the lower side of the vehicle body, and 13a on the outside of the vehicle body. Therefore, the rigidity of the connecting surface 13c on the inside of the vehicle body in the vehicle width direction is greater than the rigidity of the other connecting surfaces 13d on the upper side of the vehicle body, 13b on the lower side of the vehicle body, and 13a on the outside of the vehicle body. Furthermore, looking at the side sill 6 as a whole, the rigidity of the inner portion of the vehicle body in the vehicle width direction is greater than the rigidity of the other upper portion, lower portion of the vehicle body, and outer portion of the vehicle body.
