Description

The pharmaceutical packaging apparatus of this disclosure includes a support section for supporting a roll on which a packaging sheet is wound, a guide for guiding a pharmaceutical to the packaging sheet fed out from the roll, a packaging section for packaging the pharmaceutical with the packaging sheet, and a seam sensor provided upstream of the guide in the feeding direction of the packaging sheet for detecting the seams of the packaging sheet fed out from the roll. The drug packaging device 10 of this embodiment is a device that packages prescription drugs (drugs dispensed based on prescription information different for each patient) with a packaging sheet 7, a so-called dispensing machine, and is mainly installed and used in pharmacies or the pharmacy departments of hospitals.
