Description
A meal suggestion system according to one aspect of the present disclosure comprises one or more processors, the one or more processors acquire owned food information relating to one or more owned food items which are food items owned by the user, meal candidate information indicating a plurality of meal candidates , and external information stored in an external device which includes at least the user's shopping information , analyzes the external information to estimate the user's willingness to go out and shop, and if the estimated willingness to shop is high, (i) determines one or more first meal candidates from the plurality of meal candidates which include at least one food item selected from all types of food items, and (ii) outputs first suggestion information which includes the one or more first meal candidates which have been determined, and if the estimated willingness to shop is low, (i) determines one or more second meal candidates from the plurality of meal candidates which include at least one owned food item selected from the one or more owned food items, and (ii) outputs second suggestion information which includes the one or more second meal candidates which have been determined. Furthermore, a meal suggestion method according to one aspect of the present disclosure is a meal suggestion method executed by one or more processors, which acquires owned food information relating to one or more owned food items that the user owns, meal candidate information indicating a plurality of meal candidates , and external information stored in an external device that includes at least the user's shopping information , analyzes the external information to estimate the user's willingness to go out and shop, and if the shopping willingness is high as a result of the shopping willingness estimation, (i) determines one or more first meal candidates from the plurality of meal candidates that include at least one food item selected from all types of food items, and (ii) outputs first presentation information including the determined one or more first meal candidates, and if the shopping willingness is low as a result of the shopping willingness estimation, (i) determines one or more second meal candidates from the plurality of meal candidates that include at least one owned food item selected from the one or more owned food items, and (ii) outputs second presentation information including the determined one or more second meal candidates.
