KR-102960965-B1 - Air cleaner
Abstract
The air purifier comprises a case, an air inlet, an air outlet, a grille covering the air inlet to filter oil droplets in the air, a fan drawing in air through the air inlet and discharging air outside the air outlet, a roll filter positioned between the grille and the fan to filter oil mist, and a filter cutter for cutting the roll filter. The roll filter comprises a roller and a filter sheet wound around the roller, and the filter sheet can be unwound to extend behind the grille. When the filter sheet becomes dirty, the roller filter is further unwound so that a clean portion is positioned behind the grille, and the filter cutter can cut off the dirty portion. During cutting, a clamp holds the filter sheet down. The case includes a slit through which the dirty portion of the filter sheet passes for disposal.

Description
Air cleaner The present invention relates to an air purifier. (0003) Cooking often results in the release of harmful pollutants and carcinogens, such as smoke, oil mist, or other contaminants. Many kitchens have kitchen hoods installed above the stove or cooktop to blow out residual pollutants. However, kitchen hoods are generally not properly maintained and are therefore inefficient. Oil, dust, smoke, and other contaminants can remain in the air after cooking and adhere to cabinets, countertops, or other surfaces, serving as breeding grounds for bacteria such as Staphylococcus, E. coli, and Streptococcus pneumoniae (which can cause meningitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, and other infections). Other harmful substances generated during cooking may include carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, formaldehyde, volatile organic compounds, black carbon, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, which can pose health risks. (0004) Most fine dust generated during baking or frying is in the form of oil mist, which can adhere to and clump together on a standard air purifier or kitchen hood. This oil mist can block contaminated air from entering the intake grill of the air purifier or air cleaner, thereby reducing the efficiency of the air purifier. If the oil mist adheres near the exhaust grill of the air purifier or air cleaner, the oil spreads further throughout the internal space, increasing contamination. (0005) Republic of Korea Application No. 10-2005-0007482 describes a method in which a UV lamp is placed between a pair of perforated plates and a photocatalyst is coated on the perforated plates so that the photocatalyst is activated by light emitted from the UV light, thereby enhancing the sterilization and deodorization effects of the air. However, there is a problem in that it is difficult to remove contaminants once they are deposited on the photocatalyst. (0006) Korean Registered Patent 10-0582006 discloses a table air purifier for filtering fine smoke (e.g., cigarette smoke). The table air purifier draws in air from the front, discharges air through openings on the left and right, and pushes the air forward. This airflow is destructive or annoying to surrounding users, and the discharged purified air can also mix with contaminated air and be recirculated. The filter inside the table air purifier cannot be easily replaced, and the table air purifier needs to be installed near a wall outlet. (0007) Korean Registered Utility Model 20-0484435 discloses an attachable small air purifier. The attachable small air purifier is not easily cleaned and must be disassembled to be cleaned.
