Abstract

The air conditioner pipe connection device according to the disclosed invention comprises: a body portion having a pipe insertion hole formed through it, which is partially inclined to allow pipes to be inserted from both sides, and a nut screw-fastened to both ends; and a pressure compression portion symmetrically arranged on the opposite outer side of the pipe insertion hole, through which the pipe passes, and having a pressure projection formed protruding from the inside, wherein when the nut is fastened, the pressure projection presses the outer surface of the pipe and simultaneously presses a sealing member at the end to maintain airtightness with the pipe. According to the present invention, during the process of inserting pipes into the pipe insertion holes on both sides of the body part and tightening nuts, the pressure compression part is compressed according to the degree of tightening of the nuts, and the pressure projection that is contracted thereby prevents pipe rotation by compressing the outer diameter of the pipe, thereby providing a pipe detachment prevention function. Additionally, as the pressure compression part advances, one side of the pressure compression part presses against the airtight sealing member, and as the pressure jaw of the pressure compression part contacts the sealing jaw of the pipe insertion hole, a solid sealing and fixation are possible. Furthermore, when the nut is rotated, the guide projection of the pressure compression part moves back and forth along the guide rail groove, thereby preventing rotation of the airtight sealing member and twisting of the pipe.

Description

Air Conditioner Pipe Connecting Apparatus The present invention relates to an air conditioner pipe connection device, and more specifically, to a device for connecting adjacent air conditioner pipes to each other. Generally, the piping of an air conditioner is made of copper and is configured to connect an indoor unit equipped with an evaporator and an outdoor unit equipped with a condenser, compressor, and expansion device, and is installed to connect at least one indoor unit and an outdoor unit according to the installation spacing. The conventional method of connecting pipes involved fixing them by welding while in surface contact with each other; however, when working inside an apartment, this method had problems such as exposure to fire hazards, uneven welding, and refrigerant gas leakage due to damage to the welded areas. Thus, in order to solve the above-mentioned problems, pipes are connected to each other using a connecting device, and technology related to the connecting device has been proposed in Korean Patent Publication No. 2010-0096974. However, Patent Document 1 had a problem in that it was difficult to achieve a secure fixation because the pipe was fixed only through a sealing member that is compressed through a pressurizing member. FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating an air conditioner pipe connection device of the present invention. FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view illustrating the air conditioner pipe connection device of the present invention. FIGS. 3 and FIGS. 4 are cross-sectional views illustrating the state before and after operation of the air conditioner pipe connection device of the present invention. FIG. 6 is a perspective view illustrating a pressure compression part in the air conditioner pipe connection device of the present invention. Figure 7 is a cross-sectional view along line AA of Figure 1. The above-mentioned objectives, features, and other advantages of the present invention will become more apparent by describing preferred embodiments of the present invention in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. Hereinafter, an air conditioner pipe connection device according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings. FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating an air conditioner pipe connection device of the present invention, FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view illustrating an air conditioner pipe connection device of the present invention, FIG. 3 and FIG. 4 are cross-sectional views illustrating the state before and after operation of the air conditioner pipe connection device of the present invention, FIG. 5 is a perspective view illustrating the body part of the air conditioner pipe connection device of the present invention, FIG. 6 is an exploded perspective view illustrating the compression part and the pressurizing part of the air conditioner pipe connection device of the present invention, and FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view taken along line A-A of FIG. 1. Referring to FIGS. 1 and 7, an air conditioner pipe connection device (100) according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a body part (110) and a pressure compression part (120), and is a device that firmly connects opposing parts of pipes (P), which are copper pipes used in an air conditioner, while maintaining airtightness. At this time, since the air conditioner pipe connection device (100) of the present invention connects both pipes (P), both sides are provided with a symmetrical structure.
