Abstract

The present invention relates to a volume-expanding suitcase, wherein a handle is attached to a volume-expanding section provided in the middle of the main body of the suitcase, and a first reinforcing plate is attached to the inner upper part of the volume-expanding section including a fixing plate, and a second reinforcing plate is provided on the inner lower part of the volume-expanding section to correspond to the first reinforcing plate, and the first reinforcing plate is maintained horizontally by attaching a first fixing member and the second reinforcing plate is maintained horizontally by attaching a first fixing member and a second fixing member, thereby preventing damage by distributing the weight applied to the handle and the volume-expanding section when lifting the suitcase using the handle, and also preventing sagging of the lower side of the suitcase according to the weight of the stored items, so that the lifespan of the suitcase can be significantly extended by improving the durability of the vulnerable parts of the volume-expanding suitcase.

Description

Volume expandable type travel bag The present invention relates to a volume-expanding travel bag, and more specifically, to a volume-expanding travel bag in which a handle applied to the travel bag is reinforced to provide a more durable handle for a bag that can be used by expanding a portion, such as a travel bag or a bag for carrying goods, thereby having a reinforced structure for the handle portion, and at the same time, the volume-expanding portion that becomes the expanded part of the bag can be concealed from the exterior of the bag when not in use. Generally used travel bags (suitcases) and bags for carrying items are equipped with handles, shoulder straps, or retractable handles that can be extended from the main body of the bag to the required length, such as those on a suitcase, and casters are provided at the bottom of the bag to allow it to be easily pulled along the ground for carrying purposes. Travel bags are in use that, as described in the prior art disclosed in Korean Registered Patents No. 10-2069064 and No. 10-1720092, are manufactured to allow the middle section of the bag to be expanded to accommodate more items based on size, and when not in use, the expanded section can be reduced back to its original size to facilitate use or storage. As described above, conventional travel bags that expand the bag's volume for use are additionally provided with a handle suitable for lifting the bag, in addition to the retractable handle suitable for pulling the bag as previously mentioned. In most cases, the handle is applied to one side of the bag body, which is typically made of a hard material, and a separate fixing plate is added to the opposite side to secure it to the handle. Generally, lifting a small bag by holding the handles is not difficult; however, for bags designed to expand in volume, it is not easy to lift the entire bag by holding the handles when it is filled with a large amount of items. In the case of the bag mentioned above, since the handle is located at an uneven position relative to the main body of the bag, it is difficult to easily lift the bag by grasping the handle due to the weight added by the items stored inside; therefore, the bag had to be transported from a low position to a high position by lifting the entire main body, including the handle. In particular, when using the handle, it is mainly used when going up or down stairs, but since the weight carried in the bag during such movement is further concentrated on the handle, there was a problem where the weight was unevenly distributed on the handle part of the bag, causing the handle to break. Meanwhile, since lifting a bag requires a lot of force, most bags adopt a design where the handle is placed on the side; however, this also requires a lot of force to lift by gripping the handle, and for the reasons mentioned above, there is a problem in that the handle fixing part is easily damaged. Ideally, a handle can be attached to the middle of the expanding part of the bag to balance the weight of the bag, but since the expanding part of most bags is made of easily foldable fabric or artificial leather, there is a risk that the material of the expanding part may tear and be damaged because the part where the handle is attached is vulnerable during the process of lifting or moving a heavy bag.
