Description

Plastic composite panel and manufacturing method of the same An embodiment of the present invention relates to a plastic composite panel, and more specifically, to a plastic composite panel that is bonded to the body of a Purpose Built Vehicle (PBV) and a method for molding the same. Recently, the automotive industry has been introducing new concepts for future mobility visions aimed at realizing dynamic, human-centered future cities. One such future mobility solution is the Purpose Built Vehicle (PBV) as a form of purpose-based mobility. PBV vehicles are eco-friendly mobility solutions that provide customized services to passengers during their journey from the ground to their destination. Based on electric vehicles (EVs) and utilizing artificial intelligence, they can set optimal routes for specific situations and perform platooning. The body of a PBV vehicle consists of an underbody (also referred to as a rolling chassis or skateboard in the industry) and an upper body mounted on the underbody. Here, the upper body may be constructed of a space frame. In the above, the upper body is equipped with a body frame made of aluminum or steel and a plastic composite panel bonded to the body frame with an adhesive in order to reduce the weight of the vehicle body. Such plastic composite panels are manufactured by forming a plastic composite material into a set shape using a mold. However, conventionally, the folded portions (undercut portions) of the plastic composite panel get caught in the molding section of the mold, making it difficult to smoothly eject the panel from the mold. The matters described in this background technology section are written to enhance understanding of the background of the invention and may include matters that are not prior art already known to those skilled in the art to which this technology belongs. These drawings are for reference to explain exemplary embodiments of the present invention, and therefore, the technical concept of the present invention should not be interpreted as being limited to the attached drawings.
