Description

Roll-type raw material supply device The present invention relates to a roll-type raw material supply device. Rechargeable batteries are chemical batteries capable of semi-permanent use by continuously repeating charging and discharging cycles through electrochemical reactions; they are classified into lead-acid batteries, nickel-cadmium batteries, nickel-hydrogen batteries, and lithium-ion batteries. Among these, lithium-ion batteries lead the rechargeable battery market due to their superior voltage and energy density characteristics compared to other batteries. Depending on the type of electrolyte, they are classified into lithium-ion batteries using liquid electrolytes and lithium-ion polymer batteries using solid electrolytes. These lithium-ion batteries consist of a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolyte. Additionally, a separator is generally positioned between the positive and negative electrodes to prevent short circuits caused by direct contact. These separator membranes utilize various resins, including polyolefin-based polymer resins such as polyethylene and polypropylene, as raw materials, and these raw materials are primarily supplied in the form of rolls. When supplying new raw materials due to the depletion of the raw materials currently in use, the end of the raw material in use and the end of the new raw material are generally joined to maintain the continuity of the raw material supply. An automated joining device for joining the raw materials in use and the new raw materials is already known as prior art, as described in Patent Document 1 below. However, the raw materials supplied in roll form are initially supplied with tape attached to the ends to prevent the rolls from unraveling. To apply this to the automated joining device, there is an inconvenience in that the tape must be removed manually and the rolls partially unraveled to be inserted into the raw material supply position of the automated joining device. Furthermore, when unraveling the rolls manually, it is difficult to maintain the tension of the raw materials in roll form, which leads to a problem where the quality of the raw materials in that part deteriorates. Accordingly, the inventors of the present invention have completed the present invention by researching a roll-type raw material supply device capable of automating the process of removing tape from a roll-type raw material and supplying it to an automated bonding device, etc., in order to solve the aforementioned problem.
