Description

Image Forming System The present invention relates to an image forming system comprising a booklet production device that produces a booklet by applying heat and pressure to an adhesive toner formed on a plurality of recording materials and bonding the plurality of recording materials together. As described in Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 2010-111025, there is a booklet production device and an image forming system that produce a booklet by forming an adhesive toner image on a recording material using an electronic photolithography process and bonding the recording material together. However, an image forming device including a booklet production device as described in Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 2010-111025 may degrade the appearance and quality of the booklet for the following reasons. For example, there may be cases where the recording material set in the feed cassette by the user is not properly regulated in the width direction according to the force applied by the user, and is fed and returned while each recording material is misaligned in the width direction. In addition, the recording material may be misaligned due to various causes during adhesion. When such problems occur, a booklet may be produced with the adhesion toner image formed in a misaligned position for each recording material. If a booklet is produced with adhesive toner images formed in misaligned positions on each recording material, when the produced booklet is viewed from the front or back cover, the adhesive toner image intended for bonding the inner recording material may be visible from the outside of the adhesive toner image bonding the front or back cover, which degrades the appearance and quality of the booklet. The present invention relates to preventing the deterioration of the appearance and quality of a booklet even when an adhesive toner image is formed in a misaligned position on each recording material. FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view illustrating an image forming device and a booklet making device according to a first embodiment. FIGS. 2a and 2b are drawings illustrating the position of an adhesive toner image on a recording material according to a first embodiment. FIGS. 3a to 3d are drawings illustrating a method for aligning recording materials of a booklet production device according to a first embodiment. FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view illustrating a heat pressing unit of a booklet making device according to a first embodiment. FIGS. 5a to 5c are drawings illustrating toner image patterns for adhesion of a long edge iron booklet according to a comparative example. FIGS. 6a to 6c are drawings illustrating an adhesive toner image pattern according to a first embodiment. FIG. 10 is a drawing illustrating an adhesive toner image pattern according to a third embodiment. FIG. 11 is a cross-sectional view illustrating an image forming device and a booklet making device according to a modified example of the present invention. Hereinafter, a first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. The following embodiments are not intended to limit the present invention and may be replaced with other configurations within the spirit of the present invention. An image forming device and a booklet production device according to the present embodiment will be described below with reference to FIG. 1. FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram showing cross-sections of an image forming device (1) and a booklet production device (300) according to the first embodiment. The image forming device (1) and the booklet production device (300) together form an image forming system (100). The image forming system (100) may include a configuration in which a booklet production function is partially or wholly embedded in the image forming device (1). First, the image forming device (1) will be described in detail below. As shown in FIG. 1, the image forming device (1) includes a recording material cassette (8), a top sensor (4), an image forming unit (1e), a fuser (6), and a housing (19). The recording material cassette (8) holds the recording material. The top sensor (4) is a unit that detects the leading edge of the recording material. The image forming unit (1e) is an image forming unit. The fuser (6) is a fuser unit. The housing (19) surrounds the recording material cassette (8), the top sensor (4), the image forming unit (1e), and the fuser (6). The image forming device (1) has a printing function that produces a printed material by forming a toner image on a recording material (P) fed from the recording material cassette
