Description
Refrigerator The present invention relates to a refrigerator comprising a condenser with improved heat exchange efficiency. Generally, a refrigerator is a home appliance that keeps food fresh by being equipped with a storage compartment for storing food and a cold air generating unit that supplies cold air to the storage compartment through a freezing cycle. The cold air generating unit drives a refrigeration cycle to supply cold air to the storage room. The cold air generating unit includes a compressor that compresses gaseous refrigerant to high temperature and high pressure, a condenser that condenses the compressed refrigerant into a liquid state, an expansion mechanism that expands the condensed refrigerant, and an evaporator that generates cold air by evaporating the liquid refrigerant. The condenser condenses gaseous refrigerant, compressed to high temperature and pressure, into a liquid state while dissipating heat to the outside. Due to this heat dissipation, the temperature of the air surrounding the condenser rises. Therefore, the cold air generation unit includes an additional blower fan to expel the high-temperature air around the condenser and continuously draw outside air into the condenser. Since the space available for condensers in refrigerators is limited, they are being developed in various locations and shapes. Generally, condensers are installed in a machine room separated from the storage compartment; however, as air entering the machine room passes through the condenser, the heat exchange efficiency of the condenser can be reduced due to factors such as air pressure drop and air resistance.
