Abstract

A smart table for a restaurant and a method for providing notifications therefrom according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a table, a storage unit slidably provided on one side of the table's top plate and having a storage space formed therein, a measuring unit provided in the storage unit to determine the state of an object stored in the storage unit, a control unit that receives information determined by the measuring unit, and a guide unit that provides state information of the storage unit according to a signal from the control unit. By doing so, the state of an object provided on the table can be automatically measured and information provided to the user. Accordingly, the quantity that can be operated without additional use based on the usage of the object can be checked in advance and prepared. Furthermore, by collecting and analyzing the measured information to calculate the most used table and the least used table, a strategy for table placement can be established.

Description

Smart table for restaurants The present invention relates to a smart table for a restaurant, and more specifically, to a smart table for a restaurant capable of automatically measuring the state of an object provided on the table and providing the information to the user. As labor costs rise, there is an increasing trend of reducing the hiring of staff in restaurants and operating using kiosks or self-service systems. Consequently, systems where cutlery and napkins are placed on one side of the table for customers to take out and use themselves are becoming widely used. However, if all the cutlery or napkins provided on the table have been used, the operator cannot respond immediately unless they check every table at all times, which may cause inconvenience for the customer who has to make a separate request. In addition, bacteria may remain on cutlery stored after multiple people have touched it, and in the case of tables that are rarely used, cutlery may be left unattended for a long time, leading to persistent contamination. As an example of solving these problems, prior art discloses a table equipped with a sterilization device in a cutlery holder, but it still has the limitation that the consumption of cutlery and chopsticks cannot be immediately determined. Therefore, there is an increasing need for the development of a system that can automatically measure the amount of provided cutlery, chopsticks, etc., and provide a notification of whether to replenish them. FIG. 1 is a perspective view specifically illustrating a smart table for a restaurant and a storage unit according to one embodiment of the present invention. And FIG. 2 is a block diagram illustrating the configuration of a smart table for a restaurant according to one embodiment of the present invention. Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention are described in detail with reference to the attached drawings so that those skilled in the art can easily implement the present invention. However, the present invention may be embodied in various different forms and is not limited or restricted by the following embodiments. Additionally, when it is stated that a component (or area, layer, part, etc.) is "on," "connected," or "combined" with another component, it means that it may be directly placed/connected/combined with the other component, or that a third component may be placed between them. Terms such as "include" or "have" are intended to specify the existence of the features, numbers, steps, actions, components, parts, or combinations thereof described in the specification, and should be understood as not precluding the existence or addition of one or more other features, numbers, steps, actions, components, parts, or combinations thereof. In order to clearly explain the present invention, detailed descriptions of related prior art that are irrelevant to the explanation or that may unnecessarily obscure the essence of the invention have been omitted. Furthermore, when assigning reference numerals to the components of each drawing in this specification, identical or similar reference numerals are assigned to identical or similar components throughout the entire specification. Additionally, terms such as "below," "lower side," "above," and "upper side" are used to describe the relationships between the components depicted in the drawings. These terms are relative concepts and are described based on the directions indicated in the drawings. In addition, terms or words used in this specification and claims should not be interpreted as being limited to their ordinary or dictionary meanings, but should be interpreted in a meaning and concept consistent with the technical spirit of the invention, based on the principle that the inventor can appropriately define the concept of the terms to best describe his invention. Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to FIGS. 1 and FIGS. 2. A smart table for a restaurant according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a table (100), a storage unit (110), a measuring unit (120), a control unit (130), and a guide unit (140).
