Description
AMI PLC Communication Network Integrated Management Method and System The present invention relates to an integrated management method and system for an AMI PLC communication network that matches each terminal and each modem constituting an AMI PLC communication network constituting an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), which is a remote metering infrastructure. A remote meter reading system refers to a system that automatically reads the usage of various meters—such as electricity, gas, water, hot water, and heat—installed in multi-unit dwellings or offices without meter readers visiting individual households, and allows for the retrieval and printing of meter reading data using a computer. In this remote meter reading system, the usage of electronic electricity meters installed at the customer's side is collected by the Data Collection Unit (DCU) using a remote meter reading slave modem and a master modem, and then transmitted to the remote meter reading server. The remote meter reading server manages configuration information of meter reading devices, such as electronic power meters and modems installed for meter reading, acquires and stores meter reading data, and provides usage information for each customer through a web browser. The Data Transmission Unit (DCU) is a device that collects meter reading data from electronic power meters on the customer side within the remote meter reading system. An electronic power meter is a power meter that measures and stores the electricity usage of a customer and provides information through communication. Power Line Communication (PLC) refers to a communication technology that enables the transmission of data, such as voice, text, and video, using only power lines with a carrier wave by superimposing standard 50Hz or 60Hz AC analog signals. Power Line Communication has the advantage of being able to utilize power lines that are already installed and in use, resulting in low installation costs and almost no communication charges. It is used for data communication between DCUs and remote meter reading servers, in which case each DCU performs data communication to the remote meter reading server via its assigned PLC communication modem. Currently, among low-voltage remote meter reading PLC communication methods, the HPGP PLC (underground) method makes it difficult to visually inspect domestic power systems or service entrances on-site. Furthermore, when installing PLC communication modems, it is challenging to locate the optimal DCU connected to the power system, resulting in a higher incidence of meter reading failures and missing meters compared to competing products. To solve this, using a separate dedicated emulator The method of manually connecting to the DCU to configure network settings and collect modem registration information (registered, registration requested, unregistered) for testing and subsequent modification is a task that takes several hours, which presents practical limitations. Figure 1 illustrates an AMI PLC communication network system operated by individual DCU connection methods. Figure 2 is a flowchart illustrating the HPGP DCU modem registration FLOW as a matching method between a PLC communication modem and a DCU according to the prior art. For PLC modem communication, the modem MAC address is pre-registered with the NMS server. A Modem List Trap is received via a DCU installed at the site, compared with the list registered on the server, and registration is performed if they match. When the PLC modem at the site is powered on, it transmits a registration request signal to nearby DCUs. If there is a mismatch in the registration list or the PLC signal is weak, the DCU remains in a registration request/unregistered state, and the corresponding DCU is left unable to communicate. Therefore, it is necessary to compare the registration request/unregistered list of the DCU with the pre-registered list to designate the optimal DCU required for PLC communication. In conventional technology, this is performed manually using an emulator terminal.
