Abstract

A vehicle driver's seat airbag according to the present invention is a vehicle driver's seat airbag that deploys toward the front of the steering wheel while avoiding an obstacle located at the rear of the steering wheel where the obstacle is located in the center, and comprises: an airbag cushion located at the rear of the steering wheel and deploying toward the front of the steering wheel when gas is injected into it; a gas injection device connected to the airbag cushion and injecting gas into the airbag cushion; and a diffuser located inside the airbag cushion and connected to the gas injection device, which restricts the flow of gas toward the rear side of the steering wheel while guiding the direction of gas flow toward the front of the steering wheel.

Claims (11)

  1. As a vehicle driver's airbag that deploys forward of the steering wheel while avoiding an obstacle located behind the steering wheel in the center, An airbag cushion located behind the steering wheel and deploying forward of the steering wheel when gas is injected into it; A gas injection device connected to an airbag cushion for injecting gas into the airbag cushion; and A diffuser located inside the airbag cushion and connected to a gas injection device that restricts the flow of gas toward the rear side of the steering wheel while guiding the direction of gas flow toward the front of the steering wheel; The diffuser is configured such that its length is extended so that its front end is positioned in front of the steering wheel, thereby allowing the gas injected into the diffuser from the gas injection device to flow toward the front of the steering wheel and prevent the airbag cushion from getting caught on the steering wheel. The airbag cushion includes a rear panel, one end of which is connected to the airbag housing and extends toward the passenger, and a front panel that is coupled to the other end of the rear panel and comes into contact with the passenger when deployed. The front panel is temporarily attached to the rear panel at the same time with its upper and lower parts folded toward the rear panel, so that the front panel unfolds after the rear panel is first deployed between the steering wheel and the obstacle. A driver's seat airbag for a vehicle, characterized in that the rear panel is configured such that the upper and lower portions are folded toward the center of the rear panel and are temporarily attached at a position shorter than the length of the diffuser, thereby allowing the diffuser and the rear panel to unfold simultaneously and preventing the diffuser from spreading before the rear panel passes the steering wheel.
  2. In claim 1, A driver's seat airbag for a vehicle, characterized in that the diffuser is formed as a panel and extends forward of the steering wheel, and both ends are sewn together in the direction in which the panel extends.
  3. In claim 2, A driver's seat airbag for a vehicle, characterized in that the rear end of the diffuser is sewn together with the two ends of the panel sewn together.
  4. In claim 1, It further includes an airbag housing located behind the steering wheel, with an airbag cushion and diffuser located inside; A driver's seat airbag for a vehicle characterized in that the width of the diffuser is formed to be relatively narrower than the width of the airbag housing.

  6. delete
  7. In claim 1, A driver's seat airbag for a vehicle characterized by a rear panel that is folded upward toward an obstacle and positioned upward toward an obstacle when deployed.
  8. In claim 1, A driver's seat airbag for a vehicle, characterized in that the rear panel has an expanded cross-sectional area at the position passing through the steering wheel.
  9. delete
  10. delete
  11. In claim 1, A vehicle driver's seat airbag characterized by the obstacle located in the center of the steering wheel being a display device mounted on the steering wheel.

Description

Driver Airbag for Vehicle The present invention relates to a driver's seat airbag for a vehicle, and more specifically, to a driver's seat airbag for a vehicle in which an airbag cushion is positioned behind a steering wheel coupled with a display device and deploys toward the front of the passenger upon deployment. Vehicles are equipped with various types of airbag systems as a measure to protect the safety of occupants. Among them, the driver's airbag is mounted on the steering wheel. The driver's airbag system is configured such that when the inflator explodes upon receiving a control signal from the airbag control unit, the airbag cushion protrudes from the steering wheel and deploys toward the driver due to the pressure of the airbag gas injected from the inflator, thereby protecting the driver's upper body. Meanwhile, when autonomous driving situations become universally realized where the vehicle finds its way to a destination on its own without the driver directly operating the steering wheel, accelerator pedal, and brakes, the driver may select a relaxation mode to rest without driving directly while driving, and a display device may be provided on the steering wheel to allow the driver to rest comfortably in the relaxation mode, and a driver airbag that deploys toward the driver may be located behind the steering wheel to protect the driver. However, the driver airbag cushion is supposed to deploy toward the driver while protruding forward from the display unit in the event of an accident; there was a problem where the driver could be injured by the scattered display unit if it deployed while damaging the display unit. To solve this problem, a structure has been developed that deploys the airbag cushion bypassing the display device, but there have been difficulties in deploying the airbag cushion in the desired direction. The matters described above as background technology are intended only to enhance understanding of the background of the present invention and should not be construed as an acknowledgment that they constitute prior art already known to those skilled in the art.
