Description
Veterinary care for companion animals {A shroud for companion animals} The present invention relates to a burial shroud for a pet, characterized by comprising: a pillow provided to accommodate the head of a pet's carcass; an inner swaddle covering the torso, forelegs, and hindlegs of the carcass; a buttock cover overlapping the inner swaddle and covering the buttocks of the carcass; an outer swaddle covering the inner swaddle and buttock cover; a burial cloth covering the outer swaddle; and a fixing means comprising a first fixing strap for tying and securing the outer swaddle covering the inner swaddle and buttock cover so as not to unravel, and a second fixing strap for tying and securing the burial cloth covering the outer swaddle so as not to unravel. While the term "pet" generally refers to an animal raised primarily for human enjoyment, recently it is also used as "companion animal" to signify that pets should be treated as companions rather than merely human toys. Recently, as nuclear families have become common and single-person households are increasing, the number of households raising various types of pets is on the rise. However, generally, the lifespan of pets is shorter than that of humans, and especially for animals commonly kept at home, such as dogs and cats, the lifespan is so short—only around ten years—that it frequently happens that pets die before their owners. Currently in Korea, burying the remains of deceased pets in locations other than privately owned land or authorized or approved burial facilities is illegal; consequently, pet remains are disposed of by cremation through pet funeral service providers. Unlike humans, the remains of pets were mostly cremated without being dressed in a shroud. However, there has been an increasing demand for funeral supplies to allow owners, who view their pets as companions living with them and as family members, to express their grief and conduct a more respectful funeral. In particular, there has been a growing demand for shrouds for pets that can be used to prepare the body for burial or cremation after embalming. FIGS. 1a) and 1b) are schematic examples of a veterinary garment for companion animals according to a conventional embodiment. FIG. 1c) is a schematic illustration of a veterinary garment for companion animals according to another conventional embodiment. FIG. 1d) is a schematic illustration of a veterinary garment for companion animals according to another conventional embodiment. FIGS. 2 to 4 are schematic illustrative diagrams for explaining a veterinary garment for companion animals according to the present invention. FIGS. 5 to 8 are schematic photographs illustrating the process of using a veterinary garment for pets according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 9 is a diagram showing the usage state of a veterinary garment for pets according to an embodiment of the present invention. Hereinafter, the veterinary garment for companion animals according to the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to the attached drawings. The present invention discloses a shroud for a pet that allows the deceased's body to be prepared for burial and cremated, thereby enabling the owner to respectfully hold a funeral and express their grief. FIGS. 2 to 4 are schematic examples for illustrating a pet veterinary garment according to the present invention, comprising a pillow (10); an undercoat (20); a buttock cover (30); an outer vet (40); a veil (50); and a fixing means (60). The above pillow (10) is placed on the above-described burial shroud (50) and is provided to accommodate the head of the deceased pet. The above pillow (10) preferably has a predetermined width and length so as to sufficiently support the head of the deceased. The above swaddle (20) covers the torso, forelegs, and hindlegs of the corpse. The above buttock cover (30) overlaps with the above swaddle and wraps the buttocks of the corpse. The present invention ensures that the entire body, excluding the head, is not exposed as the swaddle (20) and the buttocks cover (30) overlap each other. The outer wrap (40) covers the inner wrap and buttocks cover, and the salt wrap (50) covers the outer wrap. That is, the present invention has a structure in which the inner swaddle (20) and butt cover (30) wrap the corpse first, then the outer swaddle wraps the corpse second, and then the burial cloth (50) wraps the corpse third, thereby completely blocking external exposure of the entire body of the pet corpse except for the head. In addition, the present invention provides an outer wrapper that encloses the pet carcass, and a fixing means (60) for tying and securing the burial shroud. For example, the fixing means (60) may consist of a first fixing strap (61) for tying and fixing the outer swaddle covering the inner swaddle and the buttock cover so that it does not come undone, and a second fixing strap (62) for tying and fixing the outer swaddle cover
