Description
ANTEBRACHIAL MUSCLES EXERCISE APPARATUS The present invention relates to a forearm exercise device, and more specifically, to a forearm exercise device that enables strength training without the need for weights by implementing an exercise load using fluid resistance, and also allows for setting customized exercise intensity by adjusting the load through the variation of fluid resistance. According to statistics from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the size of the domestic leisure sports market increased from 4.3 trillion won in 1980 to 52 trillion won in 2020, driven by the establishment of the five-day work week and world-class economic growth, indicating that interest in the leisure industry is on the rise. In addition, according to the “2023 National Survey on Participation in Sports for All” conducted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on 9,000 people aged 10 or older in 17 cities and provinces nationwide, 62.4% of the entire population participates in regular exercise for at least 30 minutes once a week. The most common reason cited was “maintaining health and improving physical fitness,” with a response rate of 77.3%, followed by “weight control and body shape management” at 45.5%, and “leisure use” at 39.3%. Meanwhile, today's leisure sports are understood as the most efficient way to improve the quality of life, and they serve as a venue for opportunities to relieve negative psychological factors such as anxiety and stress among modern people, as well as to restore and cultivate the humanity lost in a distorted and standardized society. Recently, leisure sports activities are not limited to popular sports such as badminton, tennis, table tennis, and billiards. Instead, sports climbing, a sport in which one can enjoy experiences like rock climbing or compete for records using only one's own physical strength and skills without external assistance in a free space to escape from a stifling daily routine and gain vitality, is gaining popularity. Furthermore, as health and well-being have become mainstream trends since the COVID-19 pandemic, fitness and wellness trends are influencing the development of leisure sports. In particular, among fitness programs, CrossFit, which aims to maximize overall physical ability by evenly developing various muscles rather than specific ones, is gaining great popularity among the general public. Here, while major muscle groups such as the chest (pectoralis major), back (trapezius, latissimus dorsi), and lower body (quadriceps), which are most frequently used in the aforementioned sport climbing or CrossFit exercises, are important, the need for functional growth of the forearm muscles is just as important. For example, in sport climbing, strong grip strength is required to support the body when climbing a rock wall by gripping holds, and in CrossFit, sufficient grip strength is required to grip the bar when performing pull-ups in order to achieve the desired exercise results. In other words, the aforementioned antebrachial muscles are muscles that extend from the elbow to the wrist and are very important for controlling wrist movements such as bending or straightening the wrist, strengthening grip strength to provide the power to grasp objects, and improving functionality by increasing the stability of the elbow and wrist. Accordingly, weight curling exercises, which can effectively stimulate the forearm muscles and train for muscle hypertrophy, are emerging as a good alternative. In this regard, various exercise devices such as gyroballs, hand grippers, and weight curlers are being sold. However, the gyroball cannot improve the overall function of the forearm muscles due to its characteristic of controlling vibrations and strengthening forearm muscle function, the hand gripper cannot improve the function of the forearm muscles involved in wrist rotation due to its characteristic of training the forearm muscles by repeatedly gripping and extending the hand, and the weight curler poses a high risk of injury due to the momentum applied to the shoulder. In order to resolve these various problems to some extent, Korean Published Patent No. 10-2018-0023535 discloses a stand-type forearm training device that is fixed to a stand to facilitate exercise in a stable state and allows the user to easily set the required exercise load for forearm exercises. However, due to the very complex structure of the device, manufacturing and sales costs are inevitably excessive, and because the device is bulky, there are problems that inevitably lead to limitations in space utilization and portability. Furthermore, the lack of technical features for free load changes during exercise limited the improvement of athletic performance, resulting in a deficiency in specialized functional strengthening training for the forearm muscles. Ultimately, there is an urgent need for research and development of a forearm exercise device that can secure portability and space utilizat
