Description
Nitrogen Gas Sealed Swivel Joint The present invention relates to a nitrogen gas sealing type swivel joint that rotatably connects two pipes and prevents leakage of fluid passing between the two pipes. Generally, a swivel joint is a type of pipe joint that rotatably connects two pipes and performs the function of facilitating the smooth flow of fluid passing between them. These swivel joints are being applied as key piping components, such as loading arms used in ships, plants, and trucks, in energy sectors including oil, chemicals, and gas. Here, the swivel joint includes a rod connected to the end of a first pipe, a housing installed on the outside of the rod and connected to the end of a second pipe to be connected to the first pipe, and a plurality of rotation-inducing balls interposed between the rod and the housing to form a circle and roll so that the housing and the rod each rotate individually. In addition, the swivel joint further includes a main sealing member interposed between the inner surface of one end of the housing and one end of the cover to block the gap between the housing and the rod to prevent fluid leakage and block the penetration of contaminants, and a sub-sealing member interposed between the inner surface of the other end of the housing and the outer surface of the other end of the cover. Meanwhile, the swivel joint has a limitation in that, as it is used for a long time, wear occurs on the main sealing member and the sub-sealing member due to friction caused by the rotational movement of the housing, and the sealing performance guaranteed by the main sealing member and the sub-sealing member inevitably deteriorates. To overcome the problems caused by these limitations, the main sealing members and sub-sealing members must be replaced periodically. However, if the main sealing members and sub-sealing members are not replaced periodically due to negligence in maintenance, fluid leakage or contamination of the fluid with foreign substances can lead to safety accidents and emergencies of varying severity. Therefore, to resolve the aforementioned problems, research is required on additional sealing technology capable of supplementing the sealing performance of the main and sub-sealing members in the swivel joint, so as to prevent safety accidents and emergency situations caused by fluid leakage and foreign matter contamination resulting from the wear of the main and sub-sealing members. FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating a nitrogen gas sealing type swivel joint according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view illustrating a nitrogen gas sealing type swivel joint according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. Figure 3 is a cross-sectional view along the line "AA" in Figure 1. The present invention relates to a nitrogen gas sealing type swivel joint used as a core component in loading arms, etc., used in ships, plants, trucks, etc., in energy fields including petroleum, chemical, gas, etc., which rotatably connects two pipes and prevents leakage of fluid passing between the two pipes. In particular, a major feature of the nitrogen gas sealing type swivel joint according to the present invention is that it can prevent safety accidents and emergency situations caused by fluid leakage due to wear of the sealing member and the mixing of foreign matter. This feature can be achieved by a structure that fills the interior with nitrogen and pressurizes the sealing member with the filling pressure of the nitrogen, thereby maintaining the sealing performance of the sealing member despite wear of the sealing member. A nitrogen gas sealing type swivel joint according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the attached drawings. A nitrogen gas sealing type swivel joint (100) according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention rotatably connects a first pipe and a second pipe that supply fluid, and may be composed of a rod (10), a housing (20), a cover (30), a rotation induction ball (40), a first sealing member (50a), a second sealing member (50b), a nitrogen filling chamber (60), a nitrogen injection nozzle (70), a nitrogen circulation nozzle (80), and a third sealing member (50c), as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3. First, the above rod (10) may have a tube shape having a predetermined length and a circular first fluid passage (11) through which fluid passes may be formed in the center. And at the rear end of the rod (10), a first pipe joint (12) connected to the end of the first pipe may be formed. Next, the housing (20) may have a tubular shape having a predetermined length to surround the rod (10) from the outside, and a circular insertion hole (21) through which the rod (10) is inserted may be formed in the center. Next, the cover (30) may be connected to the front end of the housing (20) via a plurality of fixing bolts (33) to cover the front end of the rod
