Description
A vertically mountable range hood apparatus that also functions as a cooking container lid The present invention relates to a range hood device that doubles as a lid for a cooking vessel and can be vertically mounted. More specifically, the invention relates to a range hood device that doubles as a lid for a cooking vessel and can be vertically mounted on a stand to be stored without contamination when not in use, and when in use, the lid and range hood can be used as lids for a cooking vessel to deodorize odors from food being cooked from above, or the lid and range hood, which are vertically mounted on the stand, can be used in a standing mode to deodorize odors from the side in a state close to the cooking vessel. Generally, a range hood is a type of kitchen appliance installed above cooking appliances such as gas ranges to deodorize by sucking in oil fumes or odors generated during cooking. Recently, with the widespread adoption of microwave ovens and changes in kitchen interiors seeking simplicity, portable range hoods are being released as an alternative to permanently installed range hoods in conventional kitchens. An example of such a portable range hood is disclosed in Chinese Published Patent No. 117053258 (hereinafter referred to as the ‘prior art’). Referring to FIG. 1, the prior art disclosed in the above prior art comprises a range hood housing (1), an oil blocking mesh cover (2), a filter mesh module (3), and a ventilation fan module (4). Here, the oil blocking mesh cover (2) is a mesh-shaped structure and is installed at the bottom of the housing (1) to filter oil mist generated from the stove, and the filter mesh module (3) is connected to the ventilation module (4) to adsorb the oil mist that has passed through the oil blocking mesh cover (2). Subsequently, the air filtered with the oil mist removed as described above is discharged to the outside of the cooking container through the air outlet (8). However, the conventional technology configured as described above had the following problems. First, the oil barrier cover (2) of the conventional technology would be suitable for Chinese cuisine, which involves a lot of deep-fried dishes, but for Korean cuisine, which involves a lot of steamed or soup dishes, it is difficult to form pressure and temperature suitable for cooking inside the cooking container due to the countless holes formed in the oil barrier cover (2), and as a result, there was a problem that the food was undercooked. Second, the conventional technology has a configuration in which oil mist passing through a single-layer oil barrier cover (2) is adsorbed through a filter mesh module (3), but since the filter mesh module (3) is difficult to clean, there was the inconvenience of having to provide an extra filter mesh module and replace it frequently. Third, the conventional technology had the problem that it was inconvenient to stand it upright when not in use after being used as a lid for a cooking container, and that hygiene was poor, such as when the oil barrier cover (2) came into direct contact with surrounding kitchen utensils, there was a risk of foreign substances coming into contact or bacterial infection occurring. FIG. 1 is a planar perspective view and a longitudinal section view showing a conventional portable range hood disclosed in the prior art. FIG. 2 is a front perspective view showing the range hood device with a cooking container lid that can be vertically mounted according to the present invention. FIG. 3 is a rear perspective view of FIG. 2 FIG. 4 is a longitudinal section of FIG. 2 FIG. 5 is an exploded perspective view of FIG. 2 FIG. 6 is an enlarged perspective view and a longitudinal section view of a key part of a mesh member according to the present invention.
