Description
Cosmetic composition for skin improvement comprising goat milk fermented with Pseudoxanthomonas winnipegensis BK40 strain The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for improving skin. Recently, the cosmetics industry has seen a growing interest in and utilization of ingredients produced by biotransforming natural materials through microbial fermentation or enzyme treatment, going beyond the simple use of natural materials. Since applying such processes to existing natural materials enables various improvements, such as increased safety, enhanced absorption and functionality, and the imparting of new functionalities, there is a growing trend toward the discovery of novel microbial strains applicable to these processes and the development of natural materials utilizing them. These natural materials primarily include plants or their extracts, herbal medicines, vegetable oils, milk, goat milk, and dairy products such as cream. Known strains for microbial fermentation include Lactobacillus , Lactiplantibacillus , Saccharomyces , and Bifidobacterium . Meanwhile, Pseudoxanthomonas is a Gram-negative bacterium belonging to the family Xanthomonadaceae of the phylum Pseudomonadota , and it is known to be phylogenetically closely related to the genera Xanthomonas , Xylella , and Stenotrophomonas . A related prior art is registered patent KR 2663790 B1 (2024.04.30) concerning "Pseudoxanthomonas jbce485 and Varioborax paradoxus jbce486 strains with excellent plant growth promotion and salt resistance enhancement, and a composition containing the same," but there is no well known use of a fermented product utilizing Pseudoxanthomonas strains or a composition containing the same for skin improvement. Against this background, the inventors of the present invention isolated and identified a novel Pseudoxanthomonas winnipegensis BK40 strain from goat milk solids, and confirmed the skin improvement effect of a fermented product obtained by inoculating goat milk with the strain and fermenting it. As a result, the inventors confirmed that the Pseudoxanthomonas winnipegensis BK40 goat milk fermented product or a composition containing the same exhibits effects such as skin soothing, relief of inflammation and itching, and strengthening of skin barrier function, thereby completing the present invention. The present invention will be described in more detail below through the attached drawings and embodiments. However, these drawings and embodiments are for illustrative purposes only and the scope of the present invention is not limited to these embodiments. Example 1.Pseudoxanthomonas winnipegensis Isolation/Identification of BK40 Strain Pseudoxanthomonas winnipegensis BK40 was isolated and identified from goat milk. Specifically, goat milk was diluted to 1/100, 1/1,000, and 1/10,000, and 200 µl of each was inoculated into TSA medium and cultured. One colony was isolated from the formed colonies and cultured in a pure culture, and then re-cultured in a 30°C incubator for 24 hours. The 16S rRNA gene sequence of the colony after culture was completed was identified. Using the BLAST program provided on the website of the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), the nucleotide sequence of the 16S rRNA region was analyzed for comparison with other strains registered in NCBI. As a result, it was confirmed that the isolated microorganism had more than 97% homology with Pseudoxanthomonas winnipegensis , and it was named Pseudoxanthomonas winnipegensis BK40. Example 2.Pseudoxanthomonas winnipegensis Preparation of fermented goat milk inoculated with BK40 strain Freeze-dried goat milk powder was mixed with sterile distilled water at a concentration of 11.7% (w/w), and then inoculated with 1% (v/v) of the Pseudoxanthomonas winnipegensis BK40 strain and fermented in an incubator at 30°C for 48 hours to produce a fermented product. Experimental Example 1. According to work patternPseudoxanthomonas winnipegensis Confirmation of skin soothing effect (reduction in IL-6 expression)
