Description

Vehicle Multimedia System The present invention relates to a multimedia system for a vehicle, and more specifically, to a multimedia system for a vehicle capable of outputting different visual and auditory information to occupants in different seats within the vehicle. The vehicle is equipped with a multimedia system that provides visual and auditory information to passengers for their convenience. Generally, vehicles are equipped with a center fascia at the front of the interior, and typically, a display showing information such as navigation and rear camera footage is installed on the upper side of the center fascia. Multimedia systems including such displays are implemented in a form equipped with complex functions, such as playback of music or video files, games, and broadcast reception, as well as information necessary for driving, such as navigation. In addition, vehicle multimedia systems wirelessly connect with portable terminals such as smartphones to exchange various information, or provide various data or information to vehicle occupants in the form of sound, visual, or a combination thereof. However, while the driver of the vehicle needs information necessary for driving, such as navigation, the passenger may want to view other information other than navigation, such as watching videos. As such, while the information required by each vehicle occupant differs, in-vehicle multimedia systems can only output a single fixed piece of information; therefore, there is a need to develop a system capable of independently providing multimedia content to each individual occupant. FIG. 1 is a drawing illustrating the interior of a vehicle equipped with a multimedia system according to one embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 2 is a perspective view schematically illustrating a display device according to one embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 3 is a schematic diagram illustrating a display device according to an embodiment of the present invention displaying first visual information and second visual information. FIG. 4 is a diagram schematically showing the configuration of a multimedia system according to one embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 5 is a perspective view schematically showing the appearance of a sound device provided as a headrest speaker according to one embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 6 is a diagram showing a multimedia system according to an embodiment of the present invention providing first visual information, second visual information, first auditory information, and second auditory information. FIG. 7 is a diagram showing a multimedia system according to another embodiment of the present invention providing first visual information, second visual information, first auditory information, and second auditory information. The following describes the embodiments of the present invention in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. The following embodiments are presented to sufficiently convey the concept of the present invention to those skilled in the art to which the present invention pertains. The present invention is not limited to the embodiments presented herein and may be embodied in other forms. In order to clarify the present invention, the drawings may omit the illustration of parts unrelated to the description and may slightly exaggerate the size of components to aid understanding. FIG. 1 is a drawing illustrating the interior of a vehicle equipped with a multimedia system according to one embodiment of the present invention. As illustrated in FIG. 1, a multimedia system (10) may be provided inside the vehicle. The multimedia system (10) is also called an AVN (Audio Video Navigation) system, and the multimedia system (10) can provide a navigation function that provides a route to a destination to the user, as well as provide integrated audio and video functions.
