Description

Airbag apparatus The present invention relates to an airbag device, and more specifically, to an airbag device that deploys to the side and front of a seated person in the event of a collision. In the event of a frontal or side collision, the upper body of the occupant in the driver's or passenger's seat may shift, potentially causing a significant impact even if the front airbag deploys. Additionally, injuries to the occupants may occur due to collisions between the occupants or by impacts with the armrest or seat. Therefore, an airbag device that deploys to the sides and front of the occupant in the event of a vehicle collision is required. The background technology of the present invention is disclosed in Korean Published Patent Application No. 10-2022-0029737 (published March 8, 2022; Title of Invention: Peripheral Airbag Assemblies). FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating an airbag device according to one embodiment of the present invention in an inflated and deployed state. Figure 2 is a front view schematically showing the interior of the seat back of Figure 1. FIG. 3 is an unfolded view illustrating an example of an inner panel and an outer panel included in the side chamber of FIG. 1. FIG. 4 is an unfolded view illustrating an example of a base panel and a cover panel included in the front chamber of FIG. 1. Figure 5 is an unfolded view showing the inner panel of Figure 3 and the base panel of Figure 4 joined together in an overlapping manner. FIG. 6 is a perspective view showing the front chamber of FIG. 1 expanded and unfolded. FIG. 7 is a schematic side view illustrating the front chamber expanding and unfolding in the event of a collision accident involving a vehicle. Hereinafter, an airbag device according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings. The terminology used in this specification is used to appropriately express preferred embodiments of the present invention, and may vary depending on the intent of the user or operator or the conventions of the field to which the present invention belongs. Therefore, the definitions of these terms should be based on the content throughout this specification. FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing an airbag device according to an embodiment of the present invention in an inflated and deployed state, FIG. 2 is a front view schematically showing the interior of the seat back of FIG. 1, FIG. 3 is an unfolded view showing an example of an inner panel and an outer panel included in the side chamber of FIG. 1, FIG. 4 is an unfolded view showing an example of a base panel and a cover panel included in the front chamber of FIG. 1, FIG. 5 is an unfolded view showing the inner panel of FIG. 3 and the base panel of FIG. 4 joined together in an overlapping manner, FIG. 6 is a perspective view showing the front chamber of FIG. 1 in an inflated and deployed state, FIG. 7 is a side view schematically showing the front chamber in an inflated and deployed state when a collision accident occurs in a vehicle. Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, an airbag device (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a side chamber (110) and a front chamber (200). As shown in FIG. 1, a pair of airbag devices (100) may be placed on both the left and right sides of the seat (20). On the other hand, unlike as shown in FIG. 1, only one airbag device (100) may be placed on one of the left and right sides of the seat (20). The seat (20) of the vehicle may include a seat stool (21) that supports the buttocks of the seated person (1), a seatback (30) that supports the back of the seated person (1), and a headrest (50) that supports the head of the seated person. The seat back (30) may include a seat back frame (32, 34). The seat back frame (32, 34) may include a pair of side frames (32) spaced apart in the left and right directions, and an upper frame (34) connected to the upper portion of the pair of side frames (32). The side frames (32) and the upper frame (34) may be formed from a metal material, such as stainless steel, for example. The upper frame (34) may include a headrest holder (36). A headrest pin (not shown) for attaching the headrest (50) to the seat back (30) may be detachably attached to the headrest holder (36).
