- In Article 9, An airbag device characterized by the perimeter of the through hole of the inner panel and the perimeter of the through hole of the base panel being sewn together so as not to leak gas between the inner panel and the base panel.
Description
Airbag apparatus The present invention relates to an airbag device, and more specifically, to an airbag device that deploys to the side and front of a seated person in the event of a collision. In the event of a frontal or side collision, the upper body of the occupant in the driver's or passenger's seat may shift, potentially causing a significant impact even if the front airbag deploys. Additionally, injuries to the occupants may occur due to collisions between the occupants or by impacts with the armrest or seat. Therefore, an airbag device that deploys to the sides and front of the occupant in the event of a vehicle collision is required. The background technology of the present invention is disclosed in Korean Published Patent Application No. 10-2022-0029737 (published March 8, 2022; Title of Invention: Peripheral Airbag Assemblies). FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating an airbag device according to a first embodiment of the present invention in an inflated and deployed state. Figure 2 is a front view schematically showing the interior of the seat back of Figure 1. FIG. 3 is an unfolded view illustrating an example of an inner panel and an outer panel included in the side chamber of FIG. 1. FIG. 4 is an unfolded view illustrating an example of a base panel and a cover panel included in the front chamber of FIG. 1. Figure 5 is an unfolded view showing the inner panel of Figure 3 and the base panel of Figure 4 joined together in an overlapping manner. FIG. 6 is a perspective view showing the front chamber, in which the base panel and cover panel of FIG. 4 are combined, expanded and unfolded. FIG. 7 is a schematic side view illustrating the front chamber of FIG. 6 expanded and unfolded when a collision occurs in a vehicle. FIG. 8 is an unfolded view illustrating an example of a base panel and a cover panel included in the front chamber of an airbag device according to a second embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 9 is a perspective view showing the front chamber, in which the base panel and cover panel of FIG. 8 are combined, expanded and unfolded. Hereinafter, an airbag device according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings. The terminology used in this specification is used to appropriately express preferred embodiments of the present invention, and may vary depending on the intent of the user or operator or the conventions of the field to which the present invention belongs. Therefore, the definitions of these terms should be based on the content throughout this specification.
