KR-20260063052-A - DATA PREPARATION AND ANALYSIS SYSTEM HAVING WORK STEP TRACKING FUNCTION
Abstract
The present invention relates to a data preprocessing and analysis system equipped with a work step tracking function. In a Self Service Data Preparation (SDP) system that integrally performs the processes of data acquisition, preprocessing, and analysis, the system comprises: a dataset module that receives and stores data and distributes processed and analyzed data; a processing module that provides data in a spreadsheet type so that a user can process the data stored in the dataset module; and an analysis module that analyzes and visualizes the data processed through the processing module. The processing module is characterized by providing a work step tracking function that records work steps for each minimum processing unit of data and returns to a data processing state corresponding to the work step upon a user's request. According to the present invention, a work step tracking function is provided that returns to a data processing state corresponding to a work step upon a user's request, thereby significantly increasing the user's convenience in editing and processing data.

Description
Data Preprocessing and Analysis System Having Work Step Tracking Function The present invention relates to a data preprocessing and analysis system equipped with a work step tracking function. With the rise of big data and artificial intelligence technologies, the need for users to integrate and manage files and data is increasing. Consequently, as there is a necessity to handle various forms of data, such as legacy data, unstructured data, and social data, the importance of data preprocessing is also rising. Traditionally, when an end user has a need for data analysis, they request it from the IT department, which then performs the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) process. However, this process is highly inefficient, as it takes anywhere from a few days to, in some cases, several months. In particular, most companies invest a massive amount of time in data collection and processing, with the reality that building data warehouses and data marts, as well as handling changes in requirements, takes several months. Consequently, data for analysis is not supplied in a timely manner, leading to problems such as delays in decision-making. Under the circumstances described above, Self Service Data Preparation (SDP) systems have emerged to enable end users to directly perform data preprocessing without the assistance of the IT department, by integrating the processes of data acquisition, preprocessing, and analysis. However, these SSDP systems are utilized only to a limited extent due to many shortcomings in terms of various convenience features.
