Abstract

The present invention proposes a curtain box that, when extending the length of a curtain box manufactured to a standardized length in a factory to match the width of the ceiling, allows two or more curtain boxes to be connected in the longitudinal direction by a connecting unit and installed on the ceiling, thereby enabling the two curtain boxes to be installed stably on the ceiling without misalignment due to the weight of the curtain boxes during the installation process; allows the side plates to cover the openings on both sides of the curtain box and support the textiles installed to finish the sides of the curtain box on the sides of the curtain box; furthermore, by chamfering the insertion guide surface at one end of the insertion plate constituting the connecting unit, the insertion plate can be more easily inserted into the tension member and fixed by pressure; and additionally installs a tension auxiliary pressure band to fix the insertion plate by pressure with stronger pressure, thereby preventing the connection of the curtain box from being released during the installation process and preventing the risk of safety accidents during ceiling work.

Description

Curtain Box The present invention relates to curtain boxes, and more specifically, to a curtain box that allows two or more curtain boxes to be easily connected to each other in the longitudinal direction and installed on the ceiling of a building. Typically, curtain boxes are installed in a slightly recessed position relative to the ceiling surface to install curtains on the window-side edge of a building ceiling. Existing curtain box components are made of wood or metal sheets bent into arbitrary shapes. In the case of wood, the material itself is expensive, which creates a burden in use. Furthermore, installation is difficult, and it is sensitive to temperature and humidity, which can easily cause deformation. Therefore, in general buildings, curtain box members made of metal plates are used to avoid problems caused by wood and are inexpensive. However, in order to fix such curtain box members to the ceiling, a separate metal hanger is fixed to the ceiling, and since the installation location of the curtain box members is very narrow, welding work is very difficult. However, metal sheet curtain boxes are manufactured in standardized sizes for mass production and installed on-site. Since the ceiling length of a building varies depending on the area or size, the standardized curtain boxes are typically installed on the ceiling by connecting two or more of them in the length direction. However, when curtain boxes are made of metal, welding is unavoidable at the connection point when connecting two boxes. Since this welding is performed on the ceiling, it can cause safety accidents during the process, and more importantly, the weld marks remaining on the curtain boxes cause many aesthetic problems. Korean Intellectual Property Office Registered Utility Model Publication No. 20-0495960 (Title: Curtain Box) (hereinafter referred to as the prior art) discloses a curtain box having a structure comprising a flat plate having a fixed mounting plate formed at one end and a vertical plate connected vertically to the flat plate and having a connecting plate formed at one end; a connecting means formed at both ends of the main body, wherein the connecting means has a fitting fixing plate formed at one end of the main body and an insertion plate formed at the opposite end of the main body, wherein the insertion plate is welded and fixed to the main body and is formed to protrude longer than the end of the main body, and wherein the fitting fixing plate is welded and fixed to the main body and has a pressing plate formed in a mountain-shaped curve at the front so that the insertion plate installed at the end of the adjacent main body can be fitted. However, since curtain boxes are structures supported by the ceiling and fastened to anchors installed on the ceiling, the connection between curtain boxes does not require excessive rigidity; it is sufficient to have enough fixing force to ensure the connecting parts meet precisely without twisting. Therefore, when connecting two curtain boxes in the longitudinal direction, they should be easily connected by a one-touch method without the need for excessive force. However, in the prior art, when the insertion plate is inserted into the pressing plate, the plate must be forcefully pushed in using a forced fit method while continuously caught on the valleys and ridges due to the pressing plate's triangular structure. While this may provide robust assembly, it can cause inconvenience to workers who climb ladders or similar equipment to perform the work, as it requires excessive force during assembly due to the nature of working on the ceiling.
