Description
Apartment Ventilation System and Method Ventilation System and Method for Apartment Buildings The present invention relates to a ventilation system and method for improving indoor air quality in an apartment, and more specifically, to a technology capable of exhausting indoor air to the outside and efficiently supplying fresh outdoor air to the inside with a simple structure and economical installation. Generally, apartments install ventilation systems only in specific areas, such as kitchens or bathrooms, to exhaust indoor air; however, this method has limitations in improving air quality across the entire indoor space. In particular, with the rise of health issues caused by sick building syndrome and indoor pollutants, there is an increasing need for ventilation systems that supply fresh outside air to the entire space. Existing ventilation systems had disadvantages that made them difficult to apply to apartments, such as requiring high ceilings for installation or incurring high construction costs. The apartment ventilation system of the present invention installs a ventilation device on the outer wall of the balcony, the device comprising a supply fan that supplies fresh outside air and an exhaust fan that discharges contaminated indoor air to the outside. Outdoor air is transported to the living room through a supply duct and evenly distributed indoors through a plurality of supply diffusers installed on the ceiling of the living room. The air in the living room moves naturally through the doorways of each room, supplying fresh air to all spaces, while contaminated air is discharged to the outside through exhaust diffusers on the ceiling panel. A through sleeve located at the upper part of the indoor wall connects each space to allow air to flow smoothly, thereby automatically circulating and ventilating the indoor air. Additionally, a blower fan can be additionally installed in the sleeve to enable efficient circulation of indoor air.
