Abstract

The purpose of the present invention is to provide an automotive insulation and a method for manufacturing the same, which enables the production of insulation with partially different noise performance by integrally foam-molding heterogeneous materials with different sound absorption and sound insulation performances, thereby allowing for the reduction of automobile fuel efficiency and manufacturing costs. This is achieved by placing heterogeneous materials on a mold so that their edges overlap to create an overlapping section, and then foam-molding polyurethane while a pin presses the overlapping section when the mold is closed.

Description

Vehicle Insulation and Method for Manufacturing the Same The present invention relates to an insulation for automobiles and a method for manufacturing the same. More specifically, the invention is configured such that when the edges of at least two materials of different types overlap to form an overlapping section, they are placed on a first mold and then combined with a second mold, at least one pin configured in the second mold presses the overlapping section while foam molding the polyurethane. This configuration allows for the production of an insulation with partially different noise performance, as well as achieving cost reduction effects compared to the conventional method of molding into a whole sheet form. Insulations used in automobiles are generally manufactured with various layer structures, as shown in (Patent Document 1) to (Patent Document 3) below, to match sound absorption and noise performance that vary depending on the mounting location. (Patent Document 1) Korean Published Patent No. 10-2023-0045703 The purpose is to provide an automotive dash insulation and a method for manufacturing the same, which allows for safe use by reducing the amount of aldehydes (formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, acrolein) generated from the foamed dash insulation by introducing a sound insulation layer made of TPE and a felt layer made of hard-coated PET into a foaming mold used for polyurethane foaming, foaming and molding the polyurethane, demolding, and applying a reducing agent to the surface of the foamed polyurethane. In particular, another purpose is to provide an automotive dash insulation and a method for manufacturing the same, which allows for the removal of aldehydes by using an amine-based compound as the reducing agent, thereby forming a compound of a different structure through the reaction of the amine-based compound with the generated aldehydes. (Patent Document 2) Korean Published Patent No. 10-2020-0115853 The purpose is to provide a method for manufacturing automotive insulation and an automotive insulation using the same, which improves quality by preventing the edges of the insulation from easily peeling off or separating, by inserting a hot melt adhesive between at least two first and second layers cut into an insulation shape, particularly between the edge surfaces, and then thermoforming and pressing while applying heat. In particular, another purpose is to provide a method for manufacturing automotive insulation and an automotive insulation using the same, which maintains quality by preventing the edges from easily peeling off or separating after molding through a simple process of inserting a hot melt adhesive into the edge portions, as opposed to the conventional method of cutting the first and second layers into an insulation shape and applying heat pressure. (Patent Document 3) Korean Published Patent No. 10-2024-0084624 The hard PET sheet, TPE sheet, and polyurethane foam are configured to form a single unit, and by applying a reducing agent, which is an amine-based compound, to the surface of the hard PET sheet at a predetermined thickness, aldehyde VOCs (formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, acrolein) generated when the hard PET sheet and TPE sheet are attached as a single unit are removed, allowing for safe use. In particular, by applying the reducing agent to the surface of the hard PET sheet at a thickness of 10 to 30 g/㎡, aldehyde VOCs are removed while minimizing the weight increase of the insulation, thereby enabling safe and comfortable use. Furthermore, by thermoforming the hard PET sheet and TPE sheet and then directly foaming and molding the polyurethane foam onto the surface of the TPE sheet, aldehyde VOCs generated from the hard PET sheet can be effectively removed. [Fig. 2] is a drawing showing the step of preparing to place two different materials on a first mold with their edges overlapping, according to the present invention. [Fig. 3] is a drawing showing the state in which two different materials are placed on a first mold with their edges overlapping according to the present invention.
