Description
Skin whitening composition comprising Cantharellus applanatus extract as an active ingredient The present invention relates to a skin whitening composition containing an extract of Cantharellusapplanatus as an active ingredient. More specifically, the present invention relates to a skin whitening composition that utilizes a mushroom native to Korea and exhibits excellent skin whitening effects, such as low cytotoxicity, inhibition of melanin synthesis in skin cells, inhibition of tyrosinase activity, and inhibition of melanin formation-related protein expression, as well as a method for producing a substance capable of exhibiting such excellent skin whitening activity using a mushroom native to Korea. Whitening, which involves making the skin beautiful and white, is a topic of great interest in the field of functional cosmetics, and accordingly, the discovery of substances capable of exhibiting such whitening effects is actively underway. Generally, inhibiting the formation of melanin is crucial for achieving a whitening effect. Therefore, substances with excellent whitening effects can be identified by investigating the regulatory effects on melanin formation, and the whitening effect of candidate substances can be confirmed by investigating the influence on the activity and/or expression of tyrosinase, an enzyme involved in the initial stages of melanin production, as a related factor. Additionally, other factors known to be involved in melanin production, such as TRP-1 (tyrosinase-related protein 1), TRP-2 (tyrosinase-related protein 2), and MITF (microphthalmia-associated transcription factor), can also be used to investigate their influence. Meanwhile, due to environmental pollution issues and potential harm to the human body, efforts are being made to utilize natural resources instead of synthetic compounds as functional substances. Mushrooms are also one of these natural resources, possessing high potential for utilization. Consequently, while research on the physiological activity of mushrooms is being conducted, relevant studies remain insufficient. Accordingly, the inventors investigated the possibility of exhibiting excellent skin whitening effects by effectively controlling the skin whitening-related activities described above from various mushrooms, particularly those native to Korea. FIGS. 4 to 7 each show the experimental results of the inhibitory activity of Cantarelles aplanatus mushroom extract on MITF, TRP-1, TRP-2, and tyrosinase protein expression according to an embodiment of the present invention. "extract", Cantarelles aplanatus mushroom extract. The skin whitening composition of the present invention is characterized by containing an extract of Cantharellusapplanatus mushroom as an active ingredient. Cantarellarus aplanatus is a species of the genus Cantarella, belonging to the family Hydnaceae of the order Cantarellales. The cap of this mushroom is yellow with a diameter of 3 to 8 cm and has an irregular wavy margin; the hymenium is decurrent, and the stem is the same color as the cap or lighter. The stem attachment is eccentric or centric. The gills are venous. In the present invention, for the effect intended by the present invention, a strain naturally growing in Korea or isolated therefrom is preferably used. The extract of the present invention may be prepared using Cantarelles aplanatus mushroom as an extraction raw material according to an extraction method commonly used in the field. For example, it may be extracted using a polar solvent or a non-polar solvent. In this case, the polar solvent may be selected from the group consisting of lower alcohols having 1 to 4 carbon atoms and water, and the non-polar solvent may be selected from the group consisting of chloroform, petroleum ether, ether, butanol, hexane, toluene, and the like. For the effect intended in the present invention, the extract of the present invention is preferably extracted using water, alcohols having 1 to 4 carbon atoms and a mixed solution thereof as a solvent, more preferably extracted using water, ethanol, or a mixed solution thereof as a solvent, and even more preferably extr
