Description

Apparatus of testing secondary battery The present invention relates to a test apparatus for a secondary battery, and more specifically, to a test apparatus for a secondary battery for verifying the thermal characteristics of a secondary battery. Although secondary batteries have been applied to small-scale fields such as mobile devices and laptop computers, recently the direction of research has expanded to medium and large-scale fields, and they are widely used in fields requiring high voltage and large capacity, such as Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and Electric Vehicles (EV). Meanwhile, as secondary batteries are utilized in various devices, the demand for their stability is increasing. Recently, international standards for testing the thermal characteristics of secondary batteries related to thermal propagation phenomena are being discussed. An example of this is the standard test condition for localized rapid eternal heating. To perform such a test, a test device consisting of a heater installed on the outer surface of a secondary battery and a sensor for measuring the temperature of the heater may be used. However, since this test device requires the heater and the sensor to be combined or assembled, it has low usability and there is a problem in that the accuracy of the test varies depending on the operator's skill level or installation precision. This can become an even greater problem when testing cylindrical secondary batteries with curved outer surfaces. FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram showing a test apparatus for a secondary battery according to one embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 2 is a top-view perspective of the heater and temperature sensor shown in FIG. 1 installed on the outside of the secondary battery. In this case, the secondary battery is indicated by a dotted line. Figure 3 is an enlarged view of a portion of the cross-section according to II of Figure 2. Preferred embodiments of the present invention are described in detail so that those skilled in the knowledge can easily implement them. However, the present invention may be embodied in various different forms and is not limited or restricted by the following embodiments. In order to clearly explain the present invention, detailed descriptions of related prior art that are irrelevant to the explanation or that may unnecessarily obscure the essence of the invention have been omitted. Furthermore, when assigning reference numerals to the components of each drawing in this specification, identical or similar reference numerals are assigned to identical or similar components throughout the entire specification. In addition, terms or words used in this specification and claims should not be interpreted as being limited to their ordinary or dictionary meanings, but should be interpreted in a meaning and concept consistent with the technical spirit of the invention, based on the principle that the inventor can appropriately define the concept of the terms to best describe his invention. FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram showing a test apparatus for a secondary battery according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 2 is a top-view perspective of the state in which the heater and temperature sensor shown in FIG. 1 are installed on the outside of the secondary battery. In this case, the secondary battery is indicated by a dotted line. FIG. 3 is an enlarged view of a portion of the cross-section along I-I in FIG. 2. FIGS. 1 to 3 disclose a test apparatus for a secondary battery (hereinafter referred to as the test apparatus) according to an embodiment of the present invention. Referring to FIG. 1, the test apparatus (1) according to an embodiment of the present invention may be a device for verifying the thermal characteristics of a secondary battery (B). For example, the test device (1) may be a device for checking whether the secondary battery (B) undergoes deformation, changes in temperature or pressure, gas emission, or explosion by applying a predetermined amount of thermal energy to the secondary battery (B), but the thermal characteristics that the test device (1) can check are not limited to those described above. Meanwhile, the secondary battery (B) may be a cylindrical secondary battery, but the type or structure of the secondary battery to which the test device (1) is applied is not particularly limited. Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, a test device (1) according to one embodiment of the present invention may include a heater (10). The heater (10) may be configured to apply thermal energy to a secondary battery (B). To this end, the heater (10) may be configured to be placed on the outer surface of the secondary battery (B). The heater (10) may be a heating device that converts supplied electrical energy into thermal energy.
