Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a battery module, wherein the contact distance between internal components of a secondary battery can be maintained constant, thereby improving the charging and discharging efficiency of the battery and extending the service life of the secondary battery. An exemplary battery module according to one embodiment of the present invention may include an electrode assembly comprising a first electrode plate, a second electrode plate, and a separator, a case in which the electrode assembly is received internally, and a deformation prevention member installed in a shape that surrounds the edge of the case and restrains deformation of the case.

Claims (20)

  1. An electrode assembly comprising a first electrode plate, a second electrode plate, and a separator; A case in which the above electrode assembly is accommodated on the inside; and It includes a deformation prevention member that is installed in a shape that wraps around the edge of the above case and restrains the deformation of the above case; A battery module characterized by having the case mounted on the inner side of the deformation prevention part to form a unit module.

Battery module The present disclosure relates to a battery module. Unlike primary batteries, which cannot be recharged, secondary batteries are batteries capable of both charging and discharging. Low-capacity secondary batteries are used in small portable electronic devices such as smartphones, feature phones, laptop computers, digital cameras, and camcorders, while high-capacity secondary batteries are widely used as power sources for motor drive systems and power storage batteries in hybrid and electric vehicles. Such secondary batteries include an electrode assembly consisting of a positive electrode and a negative electrode, a case housing the assembly, and electrode terminals connected to the electrode assembly.
