KR-20260063823-A - Image forming device capable of individual front/back image setting and control method thereof
Abstract
The present invention relates to an image forming device and a control method thereof that can individually set images for the front and back sides of a manuscript. A user can individually set the color, resolution, and scan mode (e.g., speed priority, image quality priority) of the front and back sides through ‘ScanUtility,’ which is software corresponding to the image forming device, and a scanning operation is performed according to the set values. As a result of the above procedure, the user can obtain an image reflecting the individual settings for each side of the manuscript at once, which leads to an improvement in work speed and an increase in user convenience.

- In an image forming device capable of setting individual front and back images and a control method thereof, Step of the user running the scan software; A step of inputting different image settings for the front and back sides to be scanned by this operation; A step of performing individual settings when different image settings need to be applied to odd or even pages or designated pages during this scanning operation; A step including the relevant details if settings such as the type or size of the original document are required during image settings in this scanning operation; Step of performing a scan; and An image forming device capable of setting individual front/back images and a control method thereof, characterized by having a step in which a user checks an image formed according to individual settings of the front and back sides after scanning is completed.
Description
Image forming device capable of individual front/back image setting and control method thereof Image forming device capable of individual front/back image setting and control method thereof Image forming device capable of individual front/back image setting and control method thereof The present invention relates to a technology that enables individual image settings for the front and back sides of a document in an image forming device such as a digital multifunction printer, scanner, or printer, and can be particularly usefully applied in a device equipped with an automatic document feeder and a double-sided simultaneous scanning function. Although there are prior art applications such as the ‘image forming device and control method’ of application number 1020170093213 and the ‘image forming device capable of same-page output’ of application number 1020170013611, these improve the conventional structure of an image forming device by providing a method of removing condensation and temporarily pausing the image forming device during the removal operation, or by applying a common image setting to the front and back sides of the manuscript collectively to provide a function that allows the user to select an overlap output, and thus deal with physical structural improvements or surface-common image overlapping application technology that is different in direction from the individual image setting for the front and back sides of the manuscript, which is the goal of the present invention. The present invention is more advanced than conventional inventions because it has the characteristic feature of enabling individual image settings for the front and back sides of a manuscript, thereby allowing the user to perform various tasks continuously and more quickly than before without stopping the operation of the image forming device. FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram showing the main components of the present invention. Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention are described in detail with reference to the attached drawings so that those skilled in the art can easily implement the invention. However, the present invention may be embodied in various different forms and is not limited to the embodiments described herein. Furthermore, in order to clearly explain the present invention, parts unrelated to the explanation have been omitted from the drawings. Furthermore, when it is stated that a part “includes” or “is equipped” with a certain component, this means that, unless specifically stated otherwise, it does not exclude other components but may include additional components. The operation process of the image forming device capable of setting individual front/back images and the control method thereof according to the present invention is as follows. The user first runs the ScanUtility software. This is because, since the front and back image settings are usually used identically rather than being set differently each time, there is no need to adjust the settings separately. Then, select the Advanced Scan menu and enter information regarding different image settings for the front and back sides to be processed in this operation. At this time, the settings for the front side (Color mode: Black and white, Resolution: 300dpi, Scan mode: Speed priority, File format: PDF…) and the settings for the back side (Color mode: Color, Resolution: 600dpi, Scan mode: Quality priority, File format: PDF…) are performed separately. In the above process, if the image settings need to be different for odd or even pages or designated pages, there is a step of performing individual settings for odd/even pages and designated pages. In the above process, if settings such as the type or size of the original are required during image settings, there is a step of performing various settings including the type/size of the original. Subsequently, the user presses the scan button to initiate the scanning operation. During the scanning operation, just before the front side scan ends and the back side scan begins, or when the user reaches a designated page, the light-emitting/light-receiving device flashes under the control of the controller, and the device is automatically reset according to the settings in ScanUtility. After the scanning process is completed, there is a step where the user checks the image formed according to the individual settings of the front and back sides. Specific embodiments have been illustrated and described above. However, the invention is not limited to the embodiments described above, and those skilled in the art may make various modifications without departing from the essence of the technical concept of the invention as described in the following claims.
