Description

Apparatus and Method for Managing Facility Simulation Including PLC The present invention relates to a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), and more particularly to a technology for simulating equipment including a PLC. A PLC is a control device widely used for automatic control and monitoring in industrial settings. PLCs operate based on user-input programs, sequentially processing the program logically and controlling connected external devices according to the results. When constructing facilities that include such PLCs, the interaction with peripheral devices that can be connected to the PLC, such as motors, actuators, or sensors, can be simulated by virtually building the facility including a PLC simulator and writing the PLC program in advance before actual construction. This method is widely utilized because such prior simulation enables the construction of stable facilities and offers significant advantages in terms of construction time. For equipment simulation, simulators for the PLC devices and equipment included in the entire system must be created. Since the PLC simulator and the equipment simulator must be installed on the same PC, and the operating software for operating them must also be installed and run on the same PC, there is a problem where the PC's performance is prone to degrading. To address this, when running PLC simulators on multiple PCs, there is a limitation in that information cannot be easily verified because data from each PLC simulator can only be checked through the PLC operation software installed on each PC. The inventors of the present invention have made research efforts to solve the problems of PLC simulators and equipment simulators according to the prior art. After much effort to provide an equipment simulation device and method capable of effectively managing PLC simulators and equipment simulators while operating them on multiple PCs, the present invention has been completed.
