Description

Automatic Fire-Blank System for Dangerous Substance Facilities and Parking Areas, and Operating Method of the Same The present disclosure generally relates to an automatic fire extinguishing system for responding to fires in hazardous materials facilities and parking lots, and a method of operation thereof, and in particular to an automatic fire extinguishing system and a method of operation thereof for extinguishing and managing fires early and rapidly in the event of a fire in hazardous materials facilities and parking lots. Hazardous material-related facilities include hazardous material manufacturing plants, fixed hazardous material storage facilities, and mobile hazardous material storage facilities. Fixed hazardous material storage facilities are places for storing hazardous materials and include indoor and outdoor storage facilities. These fixed hazardous material storage facilities store hazardous materials by placing them in tanks. Mobile hazardous material storage facilities are vehicles for storing hazardous materials. These mobile hazardous material storage facilities store hazardous materials by placing them in tanks installed on the vehicles. However, fires at facilities related to hazardous materials as described above, as well as parking facilities for parking or charging vehicles, are continuously increasing. This leads to massive casualties and property damage. In particular, fires at hazardous materials facilities can not only result in large-scale fires but also cause serious secondary damage to the surrounding environment, such as explosions, toxic gas exposure, and the influx of hazardous materials. Meanwhile, fires at vehicle parking or charging facilities can cause massive damage not only to the vehicles within the facility but also to the building itself if the facility is located in the basement. However, existing fire prevention and management measures for hazardous materials facilities, as well as response strategies in the event of a fire, are inadequate. Although fire alarms and fire extinguishing equipment (e.g., sprinklers) are mandatory for hazardous material manufacturing plants or fixed storage facilities, there is a very high possibility of failure in initial suppression due to various factors, including hazardous elements during firefighting operations, resulting from poor maintenance of firefighting equipment and inadequate response by managers. In the event of a fire at a mobile storage facility, various problems arise, such as environmental contamination and traffic control due to hazardous material spills and the resulting fire. Meanwhile, in the case of vehicles such as electric vehicles, fires grow rapidly within a short period due to thermal runaway, making it very difficult for the general public to suppress them early. In particular, even if conventional suffocation fire extinguishing blankets are provided, it is very difficult for the general public to completely cover a burning vehicle with the blanket to induce suffocation extinguishment due to the inherent danger and psychological factors associated with the fire. Consequently, the fire can spread from the affected vehicle to adjacent vehicles and even to buildings. FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram illustrating the components of an automatic fire extinguishing foam system according to various embodiments. FIG. 2 is a diagram schematically illustrating the operation method of an automatic fire extinguishing foam system according to various embodiments. FIGS. 8a to 8l are drawings for explaining an automatic fire extinguishing foam system and a method of operation thereof according to a seventh embodiment. Hereinafter, various embodiments of the present disclosure are described with reference to the accompanying drawings. In various embodiments, the automatic fire extinguishing cloth system (the automatic fire extinguishing cloth system (100) of FIG. 1) may be installed in a hazardous materials facility, namely, one of a hazardous materials manufacturing plant, a fixed hazardous materials storage facility, or a mobile hazardous materials storage facility, or a parking facility.
